Bigz 2012 Hydro grow. (virgin grow)

Hi there, i would like to say first off that this is a legal medical grow and any information gained from the viewing of this forum is for educational/entertainment purposes only. Thank you and happy growing ^_^

1 x Barney's Farm Tangerine Dream - 2011 cannabis cup winner. (I have read alot about trouble germing these but had no problem myself.)

1 x Dinafem Genetics White widow (UFo freebie)

1 x Dinafem Genetics Blue widow (ufo freebie #2)

1 x Barney's farm Acapulco Gold (Pretty sure not the pure 74' strain but has some hybrid of it in it.)

3 x World of seeds Land Race Colombian Gold (started later)


Started 4 seeds in ziplock bowl with bounty paper towels.

within 36 hours all 4 had popped and showing at least 1/4" taproots.

Planted in presoaked rockwool cubes and put in propagation tray with heated mat.


Within the next 36 hours all of the first 4 had Broken the surface. AG doing the best with blue widow bringing up the rear (Expected since it is the only indica dominant strain.)


Day 3 after the initial planting 2 out of the 4 showing secondary set of leaves.

Update: 1 weed after germ the girls are doing very good. All three of the sativa dominant strains are skysrapers compared to the indica based blue widow.


The White Widow on the right with the 3 Columbians just put into rockwool this morning.


The Acapulco Gold. Doing the best.

Tangerine Dream on bottom and a Pathetic Blue widow on top (any suggestions to help her pull through would be much appreciated.

yeah i see em now.
they all look ok just give them a little time, sometimes indicas take a while.
curious as to what kind of hydro setup do you have?

Toying between NFT and Ebb and flow. Have DIY equip for both. prob gonna send a few of these early flower so i can get some bud quicker lol and the rest will go full maturity through a scrog screen.
DWC mother plants probably

Ended up killing off the blue widow. the columbians grew past them and they were germed almost 2 weeks later. either dead. or a really slow shitty pheno that i wouldnt want anyways.

Down to Six.
3 x Colombian Gold
1 x Tangerine Dream
1 x White Widow
1 x Acapulco Gold
The three Colombians just broke the surface and the 3 others are all over 1.5 " high.
Decided no pics. daily pics is kinda overkill. ill post again when they are put into full veg system.

Update: Little over a week from breaking surface

The six remaining girls are all doing great. survived a move through very cold weather as well ^_^

Alright. First off we have the Acapulco Gold on the left next to the Tangerine Dream (Only right to have both Barney's Farm strains together)


Next we have The Indica based White Widow (always thought it was a sativa till i saw it grow. 60/40 indica it turns out.)


And lastly the three ​ Colombian Golds (they were germed a few days after)


And lastly a shot at the setup.

Yes I do use a hum dome ^_^.
Any thoughts/comments/likes will be cool.

lol i don't get it.. yours are that big in rockwool?? my plants are the same size as yours and same amount of leafs but theres like tons of root and it took 1month to get there

they are less than 3 weeks from start of germ? dont have the root system yet to put them into my DIY DWC buckets.

Update
The Acapulco Gold and the White widow moved out of hum dome and into DWC buckets. pics to come tonight.

I grew white widow as part of a mixed strain grow recently. It was a good producer (2nd in bud weight / plant to an Afghan Kush strain and better than THC Snow and AK47). Quality was similar in all strains With the Afgh being the strongest followed closely by the THC Snow and White Widow then AK47.
The one thing I did notice is the WW couldn't handle the high levels of nutes I work with compared to the others so be aware. Your babies are looking good. Keep it up!

Huh thats funny. my WW is my most resistant to nutes lol... only one of the plants that doesnt show any nute burn. others have a small amount on old growth (all new growth is health) Thanks for the info and for stopping in ^_^

Update:
19 days from START of germ
All six girls moved into DIY DWC buckets today.
Columbian's fed 1/4 strength nutes and AG/TD/WW fed half strength.

Here we have the Acapulco Gold.


Next is the White Widow


And then the Tangerine Dream


Then all 3 Colombian Gold.

yup. was femmed seeds but you never know ^_^. it amazes me how much bigger the colombians are than the others.

i agree, the sizes are much different between the strains. cudos on separating there grow containers and lights this will give you the upper hand on this grow truly a good choice
