Started doing little dabs, cannot handle the big rips no more

little dabs in the a.m. for workin with my babies and running errands. big dabs at night when relaxing and cooking dinner and shite and huge dabs held in for when sleepy time arrives.
also i get the coated teeth. its from the bigger dabs. the med. and sm. ones dont do it to me but the big and gigantic ones for sure. i think all sizes do it. i think its just more noticeable with the bigger ones imo. could also be how your smoking it. i use my clean bong with 2 perks and an ash catcher usually with my domeless nail. i have tried reg glass nails and titanium ones also tried the health stone. health stone gave my teeth a little more noticable of a film. although i was smoking it out of a buddies piece at the time.

I really have never had this happen before other than with reclaim oil, been smoking only oil for over a year now and I always enjoy the taste it leaves in my mouth, hell sometimes my girlfriend won't even eat if she's hungry because she just wants that taste to sit on her palette so she can savor it. We have been dabbing on the same oil for about 6 months now because we can't just go to the store where we are lol, so maybe I just got a good batch but all the oils I've ever gotten have been great tasting. The only thing I can think would be if you had the bong for a really long time then maybe there's resin still in that glass somehow, but I doubt that too. I believe the bud you're using is good but that's why I don't understand how the taste could be so bad.
I can tell you even with this oil we have if I take a tissue or kleenex and put it over the mouth spot on my rig, that when I'm done taking the hit it definitely leaves a brown circle on it. That's my only advice to you.
As for the original post, I used to dab all day, big or small and never really get HIGH, just kinda buzzed for 15 minutes but then I switched jobs and only take 1-2 dabs at night maximum and no matter the size I take, it gets me ridiculously high to where I cannot be in public at all haha.

a friend of mine told me to let the nail cool a lot more then i was last night and that seemed to help. maybe when its really hot its so vaped out it sticks to your mouth? i know it used to happen all the time that rubbery like coating that gets all up if my mouth. it taste a lot better when the nails cooler too, gotta just be careful not to let it cool to much and leave a big hunk on the nail.

Sorry to drag this old ass thread up to the top, but I'm curious.
Seriously?..oil tasting bad?...something is not right.
I never change my rig water unless I'm cleaning/claiming it, which is about once a week, with moderate usage.
I dab alone 99.99% of the time also.
The water is always really clean, but anywhere where water isn't sitting,globs of claim cling to the vessel wall, and along the in-line perc.
I can even draw air through the rig as if I'm dabbing, when just making sure my perc isn't clogged with claim, and even that tastes sweet and citrus like.
Your water is clear right?, just the rig walls get all erlly right?
This is a current pic of my rig...this is about 6 days of only me dabbing
Water is clear, but as stated, lots of oil has been drawn through.
I just drew air through it, and it tastes like a banana/orange lemon flavor.
The mixed comments are very intriguing, I'm trying to grasp on what could possibly make oil taste bad.
The two huge reasons for me switching to concentrates only
1) Efficiency
2)Taste
Oil rips SHOULD be the epitome of your favorite flower taste profile.
Do you guys that are experiencing unpleasant tastes dab off of Ti?, glass quartz?

Also, I do not medicate all day..I'll take two dabs of high powered Sativa as soon as I wake, and lay the fuck down for 20 minutes to recover and exit Dabville..haha, then I'm of to work.Two dabs when I get home from work to decompress.Then before bed-time....It's officially dab my face off time...dab until I'm asleep, usually don't even remember going to bed...lol

I think it could have to do with me vacuuming it for a week at a time, pulling all the terps out, or just using poor starting material.
I used some fresh, AAA, stinky bud a little while ago and that oil was VERY enjoyable. ive been smoking off the hot knife lately as im not home, and I havnt been getting that gross taste. I think it has to do with my bong and or the fact that i can take massive hits off the TI nail, and lots of them. my mouth gets coated in a very very thin film of resin. resin from BHO or not ... yuck!

Vac-Purge, when i freebase wax ( due to my pens being dead) I get the weird coating on my teeth. but never when i use my G-pens.

Majority of the oil is consumed right before bed-time.
Since I started medicating with hash oil, I no longer need a controlled substance for sleep. Prior to the oil, I needed a combo of Benzos + sedative hypnotics to fall asleep. And to boot, still tossed and turned for a solid hour before being able to sleep.
Using hash-oil, I honestly don't even remember going to sleep, just wake up in the morning, like wtf happened?

So, I too believe with so much time in the chamber, you've essentially vac'd out some terpenes, especially the more volatile ones such as D-limonene, the limonene smooths the vapor and provides that citrus, lemony orange flavor in theed fruitier strains.

Man I'm seriously considering purchasing a true real deal concentrate pipe.
Its the absolute cheapest option out there, for concentrate pieces, with that being said....
It's also one of the best ways to truly vaporize our concentrates/oils/waxes.
The one and only reason I haven't bought one; the stigma attached to them, commonly used as meth pipes.
Saw a nice one for 10$ today, but they added worked glass to the bowl, looks a lot more cannabis related with the worked glass.
Was going to snatch it up today, but the majority of dispensaries only accept cash, no debit cards, or credit cards. Had just enough cash to get what I went in for..
So, next time I'm buying one, and I'll report back on the effectiveness.
I think it's going to be awesome for middle of the night vaporization.
If I'm awakened with pain from my disease, I usually have my pen loaded with some dabs, but batteries die, the pen only holds a dab, maybe two, and fumbling around in the dark.
Then I tried leaving my rig by the bedside, not very handy either.
Currently, before bed, I've been ensuring to put a small amount of flowers, in my standard bowl and topping that off with some melty bubble and a few dabs of oil.
Pain wakes me up, reach over take a nice rip, hold that hit in..and I'm back to sleep in no time.
That concentrate pipe would be the bees knees for this purpose, simple as shit, no torch necessary and it's really vapor as opposed to carbon scorched smoke.

If your talking about a straight pipe without water, I would say nah! It's too harsh, just buy a tiny rig for a little water cooling..... Just my thoughts, I got a cheap one and regretted it after the first few hits... But I understand there is a need to be met, that's why I got one, but never again...
