Definitely, doctors and pharma are enablers (more than willingly $), patients have to take responsibility, and sometimes parents. I've seen too many parents put their kids on Ritalin to solve behavioral issues which could have been solved by more physical activity, mental stimulation, and plain old attention/love. A lot of parents use/used Ritalin as an easy method of controlling their kids behavior without thinking of the long term consequences. Fucking disgusting, it's one thing to do it yourself, but to me putting a kid on drugs like that without trying everything else possible is just plain abuse.
a friend of mine had a very uncontrollable child. was violent and the whole bit. she changed up what they eat-only natural-and the kid is now very well behaved. i don't know if that's all she did but she said that was a major part. they now eat no processed foods at all.
We did the same with my son, he was a handful between 8-12, diet and food allergies were some of the biggest factors, keeping him more active both mentally and physically also worked. There are so many alternatives to pharma drugs that I think it's just criminal to push that crap on kids. It's a sad culture that developed in North America over the last 30 - 40 years, hopefully access to more information and education will reverse it.
