K, so I painted the walls in my growth space white... Looks a bit brighter than the foil to be completely honest and the temp def feels cooler. We'll see if my leaves dont moisen up a bit, they have been feeling pretty dry. other than that, everything is looking pretty good right now. Buds are gettin just a bit bigger every day!

I'll get more pics up here if ppl post some stuff up here or request some.

i had it on 24/0 for about a week after it sprouted, and then maybe the same length of time on 18/6, and then i went 12/12... it didn't even have 3 nodes when i switched it. you can see now, the plant is just a bit taller than a 1 liter bottle and is flowering, so i'm only expecting a couple more inches
wow u dwarfed them i am gonna try that method with some bag seeds goin except i want to give them atleast a month and a half veg

i have done many autoflowers and it never came to mind to try that method with non auto mad props man

I dunno if you can tell from the pics, but the buds on her have gotten a bit bigger the last two days... the individual nodes are starting to grow into one big bud on each of the branches and on the main stem... I can't believe how bushy she's getting.

Pic1 - Pic of my girl
Pic2 - One of the side buds, gettin bigger every day
Pic3 - Another shot of her
Pic4 - And another

Anyone think I should trim any of the leaves to allow more light to get through? She's gettin a bit outta control. Or should I just let her be a wild gal?

I can't take full credit for dwarfing them, there have been many to go 12/12 from seed before me lol. But I will say that If you are gonna dwarf your plant, make sure u could a mostly indica plant... sativa's (with the exception of durban poison) will often flower when they want, regardless of 12/12, so it's hard to manage their size.

And don't let ppl bash ur grow if you decide to keep your plant small. too many ppl on here are all about the big plants, big yields, i dunno bout u, but i'm doing this for fun, and for myself... i'm not tryin to put this shit out on the streets... HAVE FUN WITH IT. Look forward to seein ur grow in the future. Good luck to you

For those of you wondering, the seeds aren't from any of these online seed banks, i got them from a dude who grows Big Bud... for free. he also grows a very nice Sour Diesel, Jack Herrer, and a very dense Bubblegum strain...

Is it common for a plant to need more than the recommended flowering time for that strain? This is Big Bud, and it just doesn't seem like it will be ready in less than a month. Should I just be patient? Will the buds go through a spurt?

SOMEONE/ANYONE/EVERYONE plz answer haha

I think what you are seeing is either the nutrient burn or magnesium def. There is a little white stuff on a couple of the leaves that isn't showing up on the pics, but it is from me foliar feeding a low dose of nutes.
a tip if you are not doing it already..when foliar feeding alternate from water to nute, water, nutes,ect...

you need to wash off the salts that builds up on the leaves.. if they get to high it could kill the plant or do some bad damage.

nice plants by the way

most strains take like 7 weeks to flower some more but almost non less

everywhere i've read, this is a 8-9 week plant... it will be 5 weeks thursday... does my plant look about right for it's age? aside from it being small, do the buds look like they are maturing at the right pace?

i would say about 4weeks from your last pic and you will be very close to harvest, when i said 7 weeks i was talking about the minimum i have heard for most plants, i have heard 1 strain that flower in 6 weeks but that was the special case.

your buds are still growing, when they start turning darker is when they mature. As in the tric's turn cloudy then amber, and the hairs turn brownish red

will there be significant growth still?
Hi joe, i just finished my first cfl grow, it was aurora indica. One thing i noticed about 4-5 weeks into flowering is that the "home stretch" is really where the buds packed on weight and became more dense.
In addition to this, to really increase and reach full potential, i think you should add a few more cfls. Also when adding these cfls, you should attach an exhaust fan to help exit the hot air from the lights. This can be accomplished through a smaller pc fan. If you accomidate some passive intake vents this can help bring in cooler fresh air which the plant can thrive on. I was growing in a similar setup you had, and im currently on my second grow. hope this helps out dude! happy growins!:bigjoint:

Took a look at my girl when the lights came on, and she's gained a lil weight over night... It's like your gf gaining that comfort weight... except my lil girl is REALLY getting comfortable haha. I can just see where some of the calyx swelled a bit and the flowers turned orange. Pretty cool stuff.

Pic1 - Close up on a random bud
Pic2 - Side bud
Pic3 - Top of plant
Pic4 - Entire plant

Sry bout the pic quality... I guess you can't zoom in with a cell phone camera

Grow is coming along nicely. Should have an update soon. Any comments from past pics? A little extra guidence or critique wouldn't hurt.

Dang those really are some big buds, pun, especially for how small the plants are. Nice job. I've only ever grown tomatoe plants myself, but they really respond to yeast, water and sugar (Co2). It makes a world of difference, like twice as big with the C02 supplement, so keep vigilant with adding sugar to your yeast water solution everyday. Thumbs up
