What could you get out of a qp of this type of material... bho style extraction with vac chamber. Any estimate would be appreciated and taken into account. Thank you

I think I remember the return rate for bud being about 3 grams per ounce. Plus or minus.

Wow, i used to get an average of 5-6 grams per ounce of flower, sometimes it would hit 7+ with certain strains.

Well if we use my math and you have a quarter Lb.
That's 3 grams x 4oz
That's 12 grams again plus or minus

If you use the other posters math the formula is still the same you just get more.

There are far more qualified oil guys around here than me so you still might get a more accurate answer

So by looking at the pic above.what would you guess?
Very hard to tell by looking at a picture, in my experience its always the oily strains that seem to yield heavier (afghoey,bb#3,chem#4 ect)

The bud pictured doesn't look like it would do bad, looks like some kind of og cross.

you never really know untill you run it.

A good rule of thumb is 20% return on bud and 10% on trim. I've gotten up to 25-27% on nugs and about 12% or so on good trim. My smallest tube I use to crank out little personal batches when I need takes about 40 grams and I always get at least 7 back, usually around 8.5-9. And that doesn't account for what I can't scrape out of the pan. Probably around another gram or so that I just alcohol wash and save in the freezer for edibles.

I use a Tamisium, it vacuums inside with pressure from one chamber to another and I return 20-25% from buds like @ Gumdrawp says.
I can change this up with temp changes to chambers, bud, or solvent, or all three, or soak time too, depending on my expectations.
Greasier weed= greater returns. I've run scraps for a lower return, found it wasnt worth my time/efforts so I stick with buds.
