its almost a decade old. no perc. it was a straight tube, and the bottom stand had been broken off and a fiberglass replacement had been fashion. It took a tumble of a table with an ash catcher, and had been hobbling along for about 4 months after that. the joint finally disintigrated past repair.
 
IDK sounds risky, if the glass is all gnarled up it may be too weak to stand up to cold temps let alone pressure from blasting, I've thought about it too though. Stay safe:blsmoke:

We use borosilicate glass for our tubes. Soda glass doesn't like the sudden temperature variations.

its a 9 mm.. the tube itself above the joint is absolutely fine (only the joint disintegrated). its 9mm, I'd probably cut it right above the ice pinch.

but then again, who knows when I'll have a elbow to turn into oil hahaha. right now I'm bed bath and beyond turkey bastering it.
