BHO and environmental concerns

The more I learn about making honey oil with butane, the more I want to try it, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the idea of venting unburned hydrocarbons into the atmosphere.

Is there a way to capture and reuse the butane? Or if that isn't practical, is it possible capture and burn it as it is vented?

I'm still learning and I don't know about butane, but I know that methane is 10x worse a greenhouse gas than the CO2 from burning it.

I want to find a way to do it responsibly.
