The little cubes? Like for cloning? I just soak them in water ph'ed to 5.5 - 5.8 for a few hours. drain the water and flick a bit of water out of the cubes. You can use a salad spinner to remove excess water as well. They don't need to be dry, just not dripping. Even fully soaked rockwool still holds a decent amount of air.

Same here I've always had that problem, I'd love to know how to get rid of it

Sent from my SM-N910V using Rollitup mobile app

Green alge will grow with light.... just put a small cover over it I have never had a issue with green algee. Make it big enough you cam cover the whole netpot and help with keeping light out of the res. I use panda but I'm sure almost anything can be used

Not trying to be a wize guy or smart ass.

I've used rock wool one time. The best thing to do with rock wool is throw it away and choose a different medium----better still----use no medium at all.

What function does it serve other than plant support? That can be achieved by mechanical support------ that is done once.

Just my opinion,

For flowering Im not a fan of rockwool but plenty of people have great sucess with it. For propagation of cuttings it is the most versatile and cant be beat, you can plug them into any system. I dont know exactly what you mean by no medium, but planting large numbers of bare root clones from an aero cloner sucks.

I will try to summarize:

bareroots.jpg
Veg tubes staggered 1 week moved from cloner.
cloner3.jpg
Preveg before moving to veg tubes.cloner5.jpg
again rooted clones.har.jpg
60 days after cuttings taken the plants were moved into the flower room 4 x 1Khps. Again bare roots are sprayed directly with nutes.

if you look closely, see the silver electrical conduit between the support chains the plants are supported by.

Again 1 week staggered harvest (not this pic, only shown to illustrate medium less aero).
