Best way to make clones

Great thread with good inputs from other rollers as well. Can you believe if I said I have never tried to take a stem cutting from my plant for cloning? I know you won't, but the need has come now and am thinking of a low stress way to root them and then take a cutting later.

I grow in soil and its organics(read natural) all the way, no hormones and shit. No disrespect to others though.

Anyway I have two outdoor Sativas currently and I want clones. So yesterday, I have covered up some soil on top of the lowest branch in order to initiate rooting and then I'll cut the rooted stem for propagation. This method is called layering.

I have observed when I heap soil at the foot of my plant, they grow new roots which enables my plants to withstand the heavy winds here. So the same root growth is expected here in layering as well. I haven't seen anyone talk about it here in RIU. Usually I say shit after I do it, but this time am anxious to know :)

Any info would be great and I will note my observation in my thread when am done!

Peace!

Toker.

Every time I have cloned I haven't been unsuccessful, but I think they could have turned out to be stronger plants, what temperature of water would you recommend for store cut clones in. Also for all previous years I have used rockwool cubes as medium for either clones or seeding, this year I used the Jiffy puck things for seeding and they worked FANTASTIC, would these be useful for cloning (because I now have a box of a million) or would they burn the ends of the clones.
also what was the issue number and magazine article name that you used

Great post.I am an underwater cutter myself and last 12 clone sessions am at 100 percent survival "knock on wood".I don't like to cut the clones leaves though. I know a few who do and have tried it twice and found for some reason it slows growth and rooting.Just a personal preference but everyone should expirenment and see what works best.Great post though will help alot of new cloners out.
How do you get the whole plant under water to cut them underwater? This shit is confusing the fuck outta me.
