Best way to divide a room?

I'm moving into a larger place and now have an entire room for my garden. I've grown in tents and closets until now. I've looked at white plastic rolls, Mylar, and panda film. Don't want panda film because I need both sides to be reflective. White light sealing rolls of plastic seem to be crazy expensive. Is Mylar stout enough to use as a room divider? Am I going about it all wrong? Is there some better/smarter/more economical way of doing it that I'm just not thinking of?

Panda or B&W poly ( same thing) and just fold it over so it's white on both sides..stuffs cheap enough $40 for a 10' x 100' roll. A tube of superglue will stick it together. I ran a board the length of the area i wanted to block off and draped the B&W over it , white side out on both sides..instant wall. Most bigger hardware stores sell stick on tarp zippers to make a door.

You could frame it just enough and then do weedfreaks idea with the two reflective sides.

What have you decided to do i have the same situation but small room prob. Mine is 8ft deep, 10ft wide and 8 ft tall. Im just buying a tent most likely this is my first real grow..sorry to bug you but ro you know any legit tents 4x4 that are around 100$ just to start. I was looking at apollo 4x4 for 108$

I figured that's what I'd do. 100 feet should be enough to drape it the way u describe. Thanks.

My room is 11 x 11 and the basement ceiling is only 8'. I'm dividing the room as weed freak described. Attaching a board along a stud with the poly draped over it and a zipper door. Dividing unevenly with the veg side smaller than the bud side. I always built my own tents and closets. I made the last one out of salvaged lumber and metal roofing from a neighbors shed. Total cost: about 4 hours labor.

Get 2 rafter/truss supports and a 2×6×(?) however long or wide your room is. Anchor one support on each wall at the top. Then screw sheets of plywood to the 2×6 so the hang down. Then get creative with doors and what not.

Is this a rental or your house? If it is yours, frame out the wall...10 - 2 x 4's at $3 ea, 8 - sheets of sheet rock at $7 ea, total of $86, then a cheap walmart can of glossy white and BAM! My thoughts, way better construction, more permanent solution, one that won't rip, tear, or allow precious light in on a 12 hour run, or let bad air out...just my 2 cents though....

foam board sold at home depot 4x8 sheets reflective one side white other 2x2 wood frame for wall ,all light weight and just won't tear unless you are ridiculously aggressive ,seal seams with foil tape keeps light were it is supposed to be
