Best way to clone to hydroponics?

What's the best way to take cuttings off my mother plant and get them into my waterfarm? Can I directly plant them into it with some rooting gel on the bottom? I use coco instead of rocks I find it gives my plants a stronger area to grip on to to make roots.

If you're going to put them in coco eventually yes you might as well put them directly in there. I've rooted clones with and without gel in small coco pots and it turned out to be quite an effective way to clone, roots within a week.

I use an Aero cloner or a bubble cloner. They go straight into hydroton after rooted with little stress. I don't know anything about Coco though

Mine do get stress, but only if the rocks are unwashed and thus carry excessive EC. Adding a bit of coco around the young tender roots seems to really help the babies along. They don't need any coco later, IME
