I have UC and have been searching for something for it.
I've heard pennywise TGA, Lovin cup dynasty are good for it. I have pennywise but haven't started it yet.

My sister has been diagnosed with MS. The doctors have her taking various expensive pills. I mentioned her t try cannabis. She asked her doctor and her doctor freaked out and said they should try a few more pills that my sister says don't work. I plan on all making her some RSO once I harvest my girls. I will be also making her some butter so she can make cookies for herself .
I will have her reading this thread I the future. Thanks to all who posted info, much appreciated.

From my experience there aren't a lot of Drs that will prescribe but they will agree to its use.
I have ulcerative colitis and I'd never go cold turkey off my meds but when used in conjunction it really helps.
I'm sorry to hear about your sister's diagnosis but maybe it could be a way for her too. Using both.

Regarding to MS ,leafly recommends these strains :
https://www.leafly.com/explore/conditions-multiple-sclerosis

From my own experience (making oil for member of family diagnosed with MS),currently for day time use I give her oil made from raspberry cough and papaya mixed.
For good night sleep I give her oil mad from Mazar,Papaya,Aurora indica mix.

In the end ,it's individual, but the major thing is to keep trying before You find perfect mix,it doesn't effect all people equally.

Don't give up people, never,MS is ugly condition ,but can be controlled and healed eventually with magic plant.

Cheers

Just found this thread after your replies (eastcoastmo) in another thread.

Is there any update on this? Are you still looking for any help/information?

No update mate. I've got a couple of high cbd strains to try out and I got some cbd oil fr my aunty, she was doing ok and then got hit with bad asthma and back in hospital. Going to try and make some more oil for her though. My wifes colitis has been better since having my brownies though, which ia great!

another product worth checking out has been banned by FDA, why? It works , cannot be patented, and is super cheap. YT search Miracle Mineral Solution testimonials

Okay, well there's a couple of things you may be interested in, at first they may not seem to be but I'll clarify after...

First, you may be like to find videos about Shona Banda on Youtube. She was diagnosed with Crohn's disease some time ago and was given all sorts of medications as well as had a number of surgeries. I believe at times she smoked/vaped cannabis for pain but didn't really start treating her condition properly with cannabis until it was considered terminal. She saw the video with Rick Simpson and at some point her husband noticed an oily residue in the vaporiser which they thought looked like the oil Rick Simpson made. Apparently she scraped this oily residue in to a capsule and started taking it three times a day with meals.

Second, you may also like to look in to Coltyn Turner. He was diagnosed with Crohn's disease as well and I believe his family moved to Colorado so he could access medicinal cannabis. I believe they tried a number of things which helped and they also tried a high (possibly almost purely) CBD extract, however, they found the best one was about a 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD. I think he takes capsules of this 1:1 extract 4 times a day.

So, why am I mentioning them in relation to MS and UC?

First, Crohn's has similarities with UC even if they aren't the same.

Second, it illustrates that just smoking/vaping may not be enough. I.e. for UC it may be necessary to take something more like a concentrated cannabis oil (CCO or Rick Simpson Oil or RSO) rather than smoking/vaping/edibles.

Third, it illustrates that while a lot of people mention high CBD I keep hearing that THC is important and other cannabinoids/terpenes will probably help as well. I think the best place to start is a 1:1 THC:CBD ratio and this may be useful for both MS and UC. For MS I believe Sativex has some success and it has a 1:1 ratio. Additionally, if you're looking for a high CBD extract I'd be looking for one derived from cannabis rather than hemp. I'm not sure I've worded that correctly, but what I mean is I'd be looking for something with a good cannabinoid profile and I get the impression that hemp derived CBD extracts are basically just CBD while cannabis derived extracts may have more cannabinoids/terpenes.

Overall, I guess what I'm getting at is that you may want to consider getting strains with a 1:1 ratio, or better yet a combination of strains that gives a combined 1:1 ratio, and make something like CCO out of them.

I saw someone mention taking THC and CBD separately and unfortunately I've heard some people suggest taking THC and CBD together while others suggest taking them separately. I'm not sure what's best, but I think taking the THC and CBD at the same time around meals three times a day is the easiest starting point. You can always try more complicated combinations and dosing if that doesn't work.

Oh, and before I forget, if either/any of these people are taking any medications you may like to check for interactions. For a start I believe CBD is a potent inhibitor of CYP3A4 enzymes (similar to grapefruit). There may be other interactions, that's just a start...

Out of curiosity, what strains are you growing or looking to grow for these conditions?

^^ what these and virtually all diseases have in common is an unhealthy ratio of gut flora that ultimately prevents the proper removal of waste products from with the body as well as nutrient uptake into the body. (More specific articles can be found at Vitality Science/ articles intended for pets, but the same applies to humans) this imbalance leads to inflammation which promotes dis-ease.

My wife was recently hospitalized for 2 weeks with UC. Things were going poorly when I decided to go get her some cbd candies. It seemed she started getting better immediately and right before possibly giving her surgery. Finally she was released from the hospital but later that day she was doubled over in pain and we were about to go to the ER again and have them give her more morphine and re-admit her. She rarely used cannabis but I convinced her to use my Gorilla Biscuit and almost instantly the pain was 100% gone. She has been vaping it almost every day since then and there have been no more scary trips to the hospital. I am about to grow some out for her and make a PGA extraction for her to eat and hopefully knock it back all the way. Gorilla Biscuit is really turning out to be some kind of medical wonder as over the past 3 years I have been getting reports of very effective treatment for a host of different conditions especially all types of pain including from nerve damage and PTSD. I hope everyone can find the relief you are looking for! Good luck!!
