Best skunk in seed?

I have a special request from an old timer for the classic skunk. Just about every breeder has a version of skunk so I'm having a hard time making a decision. Who's grown what and how did you like it? I'm looking more for the roadkill stinky skunk, not the fruity one that seems to be what most are working with these days.. Appreciate any feedback, I'm about to give in and just try sensi's but maybe you guys can steer me elsewhere... :bigjoint:

havent had roadkill skunk in a long time. your best bet would be a strain called the pure

Thanks, is that the flying dutchmens pure? Sounds good and the price is great, looks like that's at the top of my list now.

I like sensi and that's who I was originally planning on going with. I might have to try a few different versions myself.. doesn't seem to be too many people still growing straight skunk. DNA's rks sounds nice too since I'm after the roadkill and not the fruit... thanks for the feedback guys. Any skunk/cheese fans still growing it feel free to chime in :bigjoint:

have u looked at swiss cheese skunk X afgan hybrid (uk cheese cuttin) supposed 2 be a real classic skunk taste

I would go with DNA's R.K.S. if I were looking for the flavor that you say you want. I don't think anything currently available is going to rival that. Plus DNA's strains are the bomb from everything I've read/heard.

Thanks a lot for the feedback everyone. Going to try dna's rks, sensis skunk 1, and dutchmans pure... Hopefully I find something that reminds my pal of the old days

sensi seeds or any seedbanks skunk #1 is a fruity smelling strain, no skunk piss smell there. Go with garlic bud.ortega indica or shiva skunk if you want sensi seeds with that skunk piss smell. have not tried dna's rks but I do have a couple packs of em

watch out for dutch and euro skunks they are on the sweeter less earthy skunky side....cheese is a funky euro skunk.

warning!! Do not get swiss cheese skunk x afghan it is unstable slow growing and small yeilds hardest plant iv ever tried growing id go with flying dutchmans skunk or sensi

Thread resurrection. I know it is from 2010 but.........

I like skunks.
I have grown out a few so far.
RKS was kind of boring and I wouldn't grow it again.
BC Roadkill was also boring but maybe I just need to search for the right pheno.
Sensi Skunk #1 was ok but super sweet.
Sensi Super Skunk was much better imo.
Seedsman Skunk #1 was just ok too but maybe with some pheno searching you can find a sexy mama.
Big Buddha Cheese is my favorite so far and the only one I try to keep stocked.
Green House exodus was just ok.
I've grown a few more but can not think of them right now.

Anybody else have one to add?

so far shiva skunk from sensi, 4 going now. But also have some Mr Nice NL5 x Skunk which should be good as well. Any of the skunks at Mr Nice are good

Man. This is the proverbial needle in the haystack at this point. We've all smoked/grown amazing skunks with road kill stink and flavor.

Sadly it seems to be gone. Rumors of Sam the skunkman still having the road kill but not working it because "he doesn't like it" (uh huh. Sure. )

Heard good things about dinafem super skunk (I think it was that one) from @racerboy but that was several years ago. It seems breeders can't hold onto winning strains like they used to. (Lost the dad, lost the mom, lost my bong)

I've been looking forever for a good skunk. But my research tells me what I'm looking for is gone.

Please tell me I'm wrong someone. :)
