Best RH for cured bud?

OK, My first grow is harvested, trimmed, dried on the "clothesline" for a week (Breaks, but not a full snap) and stored in mason jars. I have one of those stick rh/temp meters tucked into one of the jars, move it around every day, and burp jars for about 1 hour/day. Rh has been a pretty steady 50% for 2-3 days. Is the product fully cured. or what? Is there an optimal RH? Yes, I've been doing my reading, just need a consensus to comfort a noob. Thanks!

Here are some pics of the buds in cure. 51%RH. Loaded with trichs, but they foxtailed during final week of bloom. Is this a finished product? How is its value compared to tight nugs? Is 51% a good RH for long-term storage, or do they need longer cure? I'm just a nervous newbie looking for re-assurance, advice. Thanks!

Is there an optimal RH? I like to shoot for 60-65%. Yes, I've been doing my reading, just need a consensus to comfort a noob. Thanks!
Reply in bold. Too, take a look at the tutorial. 51% is a bit dry. At this point I'd suggest keeping the jar sealed, while noting the humidity.

Yeah, it seems a bit crispy to me, too. I hung it to air-dry in a grow tent, in the dark, with 240cfm ventilation, nothing blowing directly on the plants. RH in the tent was a pretty steady 50%, temp about 80F. I did the "snap test" every day, but the stems always seemed to bend. Various thicknesses all behaved the same. So, after a week, I finally just snipped all the buds off of their twigs and bottled it.
I'm pretty sure a week was too long
:wall:.

RH in the jars went from 51% to 55% after a couple of days, but the bud is still real crispy. The smell is pleasantly earthy, a bit like peat. Definitely a couch-lock stone, according to my official tester.

I just wish it weren't quite so crispy
:-(. Is there anything I can do, like adding an apple slice to each jar, to freshen it up a little? First-time grower here - all advice humbly and gratefully received.

I know this was awhile ago, but do you remember how it turned out? I put mine in a jar and it says 50% :(

I use Boveda humidipacks to keep my jars around the "ideal" RH for cannabis, 62%. They make 62% humidipacks specifically for cannabis/medicinal herbs. Cheap way to do long term storage.

So in my case, you would get one and put it in there and not worry about burping it unless it goes over 62%?

You might look at getting a curing cap for your mason jars. I bought both an analog and digital one. It supposed to do the burping for you when the humidity gets to high. I haven't harvested yet, but found these when researching curing.

After manually curing for years on outdoor, when I changed to indoor growing, I took the advice of a couple other members and went with Boveda 62% humidi-paks along with a few Caliber IV hygrometers. You check every few days, burp if necessary, but then after a week, you can long-term store.

Brain dead simple.

Do you have any more plants growing if so just take some of their leaves and stick them in there, I have used orange peals as well.
