Best Low Temp Hot Plate?..What do you use?

So I been getting pretty deep into the concentrate game. And I've decided to start making concentrates for distribution available to the California medical patients. Been browsing for the last piece of my equipment and it basically comes down to the hot plate that can maintain the best low temps 80-120 degrees F. Any suggestions?

Silicone heat mats

i got a vac on the way.. just need a hot plate thanks. the silicone heat mats or oil slick heat mats are terrible for vac purge imo.

Way better then oil slicks.

My bad, thought u meant something else. Those things are kool never seen em before. Temps are right in range with what i need. Do you know of something that wont hurt my wallet as much. Im kinda tight on cash until i get my first batch out.

presto griddle the large one so my whole chamber fits on it, 20bucks

When operating on a budget, it is hard to beat a $20/30 griddle with a sand bath, such as SDAL uses. Especially if you score one at Goodwill.

A bit more expensive, but we build our own silicone heat mat with PID controller, for under $100.

My friend ended up getting a presto 22' Griddle. This should do the job. I tested it out and made some winterized shatter since i had a few jars of it sitting in my fridge. Cant wait till friday when i get my vacuum chamber.

there is a guy in here that had one and put his oil that was on the paper right on it, and the nuwave couldn't see it and it kept increasing the temp till it caught fire. I believe it works just fine with the chamber on it. VP Guz yall where here when that happen yall remember?

Sucks to be that guy twitch! Dang. Ya i will use my stainless steel vac chamber on it - i wasn't planning on putting anything directly on it, and if i did i would use an induction plate i guess.

Maybe get a oven temp gauge or somthin for the inside of ur chamber

Ya i was thinking about it..but its more of a concern with oil temp then air or pot temp inside. Theres no real way to get oil temp without popping the lid open for a moment and hitting it with the heat gun. ive noticed oils act differently under heat. some take more heat to pull a vac and muffin. some take less. just gotta be on point with ur calculations.

True, the griddles kinda fluctuate heat so I like having a idea of the temp inside, Infrared gun is good too...I wonder if you can get a digital temp guage and stick the probe in the oil?

mmm...I just dont see a probe type temp gauge being useful enough to the point where id want it in the oil while im trying to purge it. I honestly have never vac purged...im getting my chamber today and ill be running shortly after.

not to mention it could be deceiving at times... with the probe only in one part of the oil it may not give a good overall temp of all the oil.
