I was thinking of the long stems that are like whips. We used them as kids to torture each other. I hate the tree except they grow so darn fast and they look kinda cool when the wind blows. Ppl think they are stately. They're weeds.

What's up BB...not to hijack dudes thread but I'm real excited bout starting a veggie garden in a family members new back yard. The kids will help me create it and do the maintenance. Hopefully that will get them interested in eating what they help grow. I'm doing soil improvements and bed outline in about a month. (they're just moving in this w/e or I would have done it already) then the seeds will go in in may. I'll start a thread. They have a whole acre so ima make a big garden. Enough for a couple families. Produce is sooo expensive.
can you link me to that when you get it up and running? I want to find a good DIY for soil improvement. I have a small plot i just turned yesterday and would like to amend it somehow.
Sorry to OP for jumping in

Asiatic lilies smell and look beautiful -- I don't know how you would start them from seed, as I've only ever seen them as bulbs. (I'm sure it can be done, but they only sell the bulb version at Costco) I've never grown them indoors either, but with enough light they'd probably be fine.

I have them outside on my patio as part of my "smell camouflage". Different varieties will ensure you have a continual bloom all summer, and they come back bigger and better every year.

^^^seeds do eventually become bulbs after several years. It'll be like five yrs before u even get a flower though
