i like megacrop. single part dry nutrient which costs ~3.4 pennies per gallon (1.7 if you get the big bag on sale, makes 9000 gallons for $55 + shipping)
I won a small bag of that in their contest but turned it down as shipping to northern Alberta from CA would cost way more than they're worth. I'll try them when I can get them at a hydro store in Canada. I don't grow enough to worry about nute costs when my power is 23.5¢/kwh. That's 85% of my growing costs right there not counting gear but gear lasts for years if not decades.

Ease of use and consistently great results is worth it's weight in gold to me. AN does that for me and has for 16 years. If it ain't broke I don't try to fix it. ;)

General hydroponics 3 part formula is cheap and works great, good luck and happy growing.
AN 3-part is the same price and sometimes cheaper than GH and has a lot more going for it. $40/gal is what I pay for mine and will last me 4-5 years. Rhino Skin and Big Bud is the only other AN stuff I pay for. Growtek CalMag and Epsom salts are dead cheap.

GH will change now that they are owned by Scott's Miracle-Gro. Mark my words.

That's f'n excellent for a 10th grow IMO! Nothing to laugh at there.

I've been quite ill for the last 5 years and let everything slide but all fixed up now and gearing up for great grows ahead. 2017 is gonna be a lot better.

yes i think their free sample bag ended up costing me $15 or something for shipping lol, someone in alberta expressed interest in buying a pallet to sell in canada and i'm also waiting for something like that to happen. the $55 bag would cost $50 USD more in shipping not incl duties. my plants really did like it and it was very soluble and easy to mix, but the sample bag ran out by the time i dialed in the dosages.

that is expensive electricity!! in manitoba i think i'm paying 8 or 10 cents per kWh

I'm also adding the other fees they tack on to the actual cost of the power which is close to 3x the power Total scam from big US companies running our de-regulated system since King Ralph sold us out around '01.

The power plus those fees are my actual cost. Power is fixed at 8.9 from my provider but their fees are higher. Shopping for another but I'm pretty sure they fix prices and there's a probe into that now. Should get free power for a year and better rates after. :D

How much of the lineup were you using? I'm pretty bare-bones with what I use of it. Don't see the need to buy all that often redundant stuff. Seen a lot of growers go down in flames using it all and following AN's guides which are crap. Designed so you use up your nutes 10x as fast as I use them.

Can't find any list of ingredients at GH for their Flora Series which is basically supposed to be the same thing as the AN 3-part. I'd like to see what they use in there beside basic salts.

If I can't find it on their website they must not be proud enough of it to make it easily available so I doubt I'll look too hard.

Not like I'm thinking of switching any time soon. ;)

Botanicare is owned by Scott's Miracle-Gro now along with GH and Gavita. If you like supporting a company that has sold crap for decades and denied us pot growers then by all means support the enemy. I don't shop at Walmart either.

I'm sticking with AN 3-part, Big Bud and Rhino Skin. Any old CalMag and some Epsom salts is all I need.

16 years with AN and always good yields in DWC and soilless.

Merry Xmas!

I been growing in a deep water culture and see that there is a whole kind of diffrent nutrients. What is the best nutrient set one has ever used? I have seen dirty dozen, botanicare, floranova, and also hygrocity. What do y'll recommed ? Basically lol

DWC AN nutes still at 1/4 strength. Should I increase and add more of the line? Using gmb, voodoo, trant, cal m, Sensi
Are you using Sensi Grow as well as the 3-part GMB? What is trant?

She looks healthy now so I wouldn't give her more unless you went to a much stronger light than T-5s. More light energy equals faster growth potential and then leads to the need for stronger nutes. The leaves are a very dark green that usually means the plant has close to it's maximum need for nutes. Better a little less than a little too much.
