Best Design for Perpetual Grow?

I am going to be setting up a perpetual grow when my current one is done. I'm gonna have 4 flower areas each 2 weeks apart. I will be doing SOG in 2 liter bottles. I was wondering would it be best to have:
  • Two 4x4 tents both separated in half with a single 600w per tent
  • Two 4x4 tents both separated in half with a single 1000w per tent
  • Four 2x4 tents with a single 600w per tent
Cooling isn't an issue, but I wanna know which setup would give me the best weight per watt. I'm leaning towards the 4 tents because I can adjust each light to the right height, but it also uses the most power and I don't know if I'll get the right g/watt return.

4 tents total
1 seedling starter tent with a t5 3x3x6 8 bulb t5 2 foot
2 veggie tent i like led u can use a 600w MH 4x4x6
3 flowering tent 5x5x6 1000w
4 a dry tent 3x3x6

run autos start 2 every 2 weeks untill u are filled up and then u will be rotating out every 2 weeks with in 8 to 10 weeks of your first planting u can keep altering strains

I would go with one single flower area and one single veg area, much more simple, and you get the benefit of light overlap.

I'm actually planning to run regular feminized seeds and grow clones off a mother plant.
And my problem with running a single tent is wouldn't it be hard to harvest part of the tent, and also wouldn't I have to move the plants around after every harvest? I can't do that.

well then u can not do it like this u need a large area photos are 3 to 4 months flowering at least your veggie is only running maybe 2 months so u have a month of dead time so u need one large area sectioned off so u can just split it up for flowering and veggie like something in the range of 14x20x7

that would give u the room to stagger the grows so u are pulling in at what ever time table u want

spliting it in the tent is not going to work as well as u think the use of foam board is needed (it can be cut to fit in and u can make holes for what u need and seal it with some tape .....but then u need to reconfigure the air system and the flow for it

I am doing a SOG in 2 liter bottles, which means there is no veg time, just 2 weeks for the clones to root. And most Indica photoperiod strains will flower in 7-9 weeks.

SOG in 2 liter bottles.........sounds like a lot of work

I think the key to making this successful is to use one strain, and know that strain

Yeah it's gonna be a lot of work but from what I've read it's the best way to have a perpetual harvest and to grow a decent amount of bud. My plan is to grow out 10 of the same strain and pick the one that comes out best and turn that into my mother. So yes, it'll be one strain.

i bow to u crazy man ...........this has to be new to u other wise u would not be willing to trim that much popcorn bud on a never ending time table

rem it takes at least 7 days to dry the weed right and then 4 to 6 weeks to cure it .........a system like u are talking u are cutting it few days then removing it and doing the same none stop

i have to work 1 day week (trim up the weeks worth of buds and to chop the plant down every other week ) .....the system i use i am clipping 4-8 hours for one day every week every week i go tho a 12 pack of jars in a month some times 1 and half packs in a month ..2 harvest a month avg 6-10 per plant depends on the strain

Well what would you say is the best way to harvest an ounce a day? Like not literally cut down 1 ounce every day, but say 14 ounces every 2 weeks?

Best easiest IMHO:
1 big flower room. (networked DWC [biggest that fit] buckets, no need for pumps other than air.)
1 small veg room/chamber.

Grow a couple of moms in the veg chamber, also in the chamber is your cloner. Take large cuttings and place them in the cloner every two weeks, keep in cloner for 14 days, transplant to DWC in flower room.

You will want the DWC system to be networked into separate systems for each 2 week batch so you can use bloom boosters or do a flush if desired.

But if I'm only doing veg for 2 weeks (the rooting period), wouldn't a big 5 gallon dwc be overkill?

no DWC gets u the most out of the plant plus the buds are thick and huge ....u can use one of the trimmers on DWC grows where u would need scissors

the pics are in the back of it ......i used a bic lighter to give u a size idea

the best system i can tell u is the DWC ......use single buckets for veggie stage then change over to a RDWC for the flowering stage

if u can offer the plant as much water as it wants and as much feed as it wants u can turn any plant into something like that one ..........that whole plant was 110 days from seeds to cut your doing about the same time frame ...........that is the whole reason hydro is to make it something like that

that one plant sent me and 3 friends to the denver cannabis cup .........it paid for the whole trip minus their food and weed funds

Holy shit dude that's a tree! I just don't want to do autoflower though. So if I grow clones, you think if I root them (2 weeks), and go straight to flower in a 5 gallon RDWC it won't be a waste?

Isn't overkill the goal? I like overkill especially if you can do it without waste. With your setup you can move the water back one system and adjust PPM no need to drain to waste.

But the diameter of a 5 gallon bucket would waste floor space if the plant isn't gonna fill out the the same diameter.

So I think I can budget about 4x7 for a large flower room and 4x3 for a veg room, or the whole 4x10 for a flower room and no veg room. So you think a 4x10 flower room with a RDWC and like 1200w would be best?

I assume you mean 2x600w HPS? Yes it will work, but 3 or 1800w would be best for that space. I would also add UVB.

If you can find net pots, the square buckets are a lot nicer. I would run 50% veg 50% flower nutes for the first two weeks as well for this setup. A 4-5gal bucket takes up a 9.5x9.5" square.

Yeah, 2x600w. I was thinking two Magnum XXXL hoods (I already have 1). And yes I planned to add UVB.

And I'm thinking maybe using some sort of storage tote and doing multiple net pots per container, but I'm not sure. So you think 1 big loop? Because I need to flush before harvest.

I'm imagining you will need 5 groups to do 2 week intervals. So I would try to do 5 rows or something, have 5 separate systems. I would also have a tote large enough to hold the water from one of these systems. Use a transfer pump to move the water between systems or to a drain or to the tote. You can reuse or dispose of water/nutes as needed. You don't need a control bucket, you just need a bucket to put a plant in while you use it's bucket as a control bucket.

If you setup your system right you will just pass the nutes down one system and flush/drain one system's worth of nute water every two weeks.
