I am interested to see if that site is good. They have Next generation's BC Kush for 20 bucks, whereas at VSB it is 130.
you didn't read the fine print, those are second generation (F2) seeds like you or I could make if we bought the real deal and made our own seeds.
Chances are it would be pretty good nonetheless.

VSB is very good, just wished they mailed to the States...but I'm only a couple hours drive away:weed:

PeakseedsBC great experience with them, had a package come in 100% crushed, sent a polite e-mail, and had replacements in hand within a week. Currently have a couple of Northernberry running.

BCSeedking is great to deal with. Fast shipping, good strains.

Those are the Canadian banks I have personal experience with, and would order again from them any time my finances allow it.

Actually I did read that, but my brain decided not to process it. :dunce: Good call on the F2.

that's right, it's a reseller of several companies, some exclusively like Wild Rose & Cash Crop Ken. You can get the Dutch ones for much less in the UK from Dr Chronic & The Attitude.

does anyone know what strains does VSB sell at their actual store?
they have everything that's in the online catalog AFAIK, some may be out of stock though at any given time. They now indicate that on their catalog though (never hurts to phone or e-mail them if your traveling from out of town.)

hempdepot.ca is excellent. Has never ripped me off. But don't buy from:

MJ at PEAKSEEDSBC.COM totally RIPPED ME OFF and he is so being a dick about it. I mailed my order in the beginning of Oct 2009. I emailed him 3 weeks later and he said he mailed my order which I never received. He said he would resend another order. Never received it. Emailed it again and he said 'it must have gotten lost in the mail.' I emailed him 3 weeks ago and again he told me it must have a got lost in the mail. This time I told him that it was impossible for 3 orders to get lost in the mail and I wasn't buying his story. Now he will not respond to me at all. I did write to Greenman since now pekseedsbc.com has a Greenman symbol on his home page. It doesn't appear that Greenman is that honest either since he wouldn't do anything about him ripping me off. Also I searched the web and found many, many other complaints from people saying they never got their orders either. He may have been honest long ago but DO NOT BUY FROM HIM unless you want to get ripped off.

I have been doing a bunch of research on 'Canadian' seed banks and here is what I have discovered (please correct me if you know differently)

VSB is the only seed bank in western Canada, and one of maybe 2 or 3 in Canada, with an actual physical store that you can walk into and buy seeds from. This eliminates the security factors involved with shipping, credit cards, etc.
The fact that they have a physical location makes me feel more secure even if I do buy through the mail.
They do not breed their own from what I can see; rather, they redistribute breeders’ seeds (ie Jordan of the Islands, Greenhouse seed co). I don’t know of any Canadian breeder that sells directly to the public – but I would love to find one! Cut out the middle person and all.
So when buying from VSB it is important to know about the integrity of each breeder’s genetics. I have read, for example, that the Might Mite breeder’s seeds have a low germ rate perhaps due to old stock.
Many other ‘Canadian’ seedbanks, ie BC Bud Depot, actually are based in Holland – something to consider. I personally like all transactions to take place in Canada.
If a seed distributor does not accept credit cards it makes me wonder. Sending cash thru the mail? Not my style. But then again it leaves less of an official trail.
Here is a cut n paste from another website:
There are 4 main types of seed banks that you will find all around the world. The first one and most common is the retailer. This is a brick and mortar seed bank company that will represent not only itself but many strains from breeders that they carry as a distributor. An example of this seed bank is "Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds"
The second type of seedbank is one that reviews strains and seeds from various breeders and companies in aspects such as easy growing, feminized, sizes, shipping, indica, sativa and other elements that help with buying seeds and choosing good strains. try "Marijuana Seeds & Strains"
The forth type of seed bank is a breeder/retailer. This is a company that has their own strains of marijuana seeds that sells directly to the public as well as to various seed banks that retail their seeds for them. An example of this seed bank is "Nirvana"
The third seed bank is an affiliate seed bank that send you to the original site to complete your purchase. They are paid a small commision for finding you and completing a sale. An example of this is "Mary Jane's Garden "

This is a pretty good thread to have around, would like to hear some more opinions from other people.

Also, I got a question. Ive narrowed my options down to VSB and Hemp Depot. I want to get the BC Big Bud. Both VSB and Hemp Depot have this seed from the same distributor (Jordan of the Islands). Does this mean that the seeds are basically the same and it doesn't really matter from which bank I get it from?
I preferably would like to get it from VSB since Im from van and they have a store I can simply go to but will order from Hemp depot if they have a superior seed quality.

Just got in one from Pc seeds BC - NL X kush 2 weeks from order sent to midwest. got 9 of 10 beans and 1 is all white and flakey , so looks like 8 viable . Shipping is fine , no signing required , no freebies

I know this is an old thread but, i'm going with bc seed king. The purple kush and white widow are some killer smoke. I just put some purple widow seeds in paper towels today. Ordered 10 and got 19. Always fast discreet shipping. Had a problem last year with some god bud and they replaced my whole order for free.

Ppl who complaint about BCseedking simply got bad luck ... They are really business friendly gave replacement if germ suck ...
And i have try there Purple Kush, Super Silver Haze, Blueberry, all was BOMB and no problem on germ.. O they also gave 5extra seed on any order ....

Staying in Canada because i'm in canada. No customs and faster delivery, plus may aswell support local companies!
Crop king, high grade, jordan of the islands, dj short...

the list of canadian producers is endless. those are the best. period. dj is hands down the best, followed by hgs. joi is good from what ive heard, and im trying some crop kings. they are supposed to be quite good.

dj is sweet tho. i havent ever bought his seeds. but ive tried bud from his gear. its good.

i dont kbow if dj is in canada now, born here or whatever. i know hes lived in detroit and oregon based on his book. im not sure where hes from but im guessing hes canadian cause out anthem is the first page of his book. seems like a proud canadian

You might need to take HGS off the list, I think the deal around the end of 2012 and extending now to present is the end of that place. Does not look like they are filling any of the old orders, I certainly would not enter a new one!
