I often wonder about strains like these mentioned with a wide price point difference. What is the gap in quality/qty. so to speak in them?

I will vouch for Serious Seeds Bubblegum, good sized plant, good sized buds with great potency, I wouldn't even consider Bubblelicious.

T.H. seeds Bubblegum is also a good choice but it has more sativa in it and takes a little bit longer to flower than Serious Seeds, so it is basically up to you as far as preference goes. Both Serious Seeds and TH Seeds are from the original genetics from Indiana, so both are good just depends on your preference over Sativa or Indica.

DJ shorts is the what you want when it comes to Blueberry but since it is hard to find and if the place you are ordering from doesn't carry it everyone goes with Dutch Passion for a close second. I found the plants to be a little smaller than I liked and they also take awhile longer during flower than other strains, it is a popular strain but I'd get White Russian from Serious Seeds instead unless you really have your mind set on growing blueberry.

I would Greatly like to appoint you in the right direction of the seed selection you are asking about, Only due to the fact i have encountered both strains in my or close friends growing experience.

I would definately have to agree with Goldy Serious Seeds has always put out an excellent Bubblegum.
I picked up the Phenotype from a cannabis dispensary in Oakland, California where they specially Breed and Acquired strains from Major Seed companys just for the Strain it self.

And I would have to advice that the Dutch passion blueberry because they are the only authorized distributor in Amsterdam for Dj Short's strains.

Not consider bubbelicious?

Bubblegum/ bubbelicious are the same strain. Originally known as midwest- mama.

Bubblelicious = poorer genetics, low quality breeding techniques, end product not as good, inconsistant plants, waste of time.

Serious Seeds, TH Seeds = quality breeding techniques, consistant growing results every time, genetics are kept truer.

I get what you are saying but Bubble Gum and Bubblicious are the same strain.

Maybe certain Seed companies call it one ore the other and some seed companies have a better strain than some others but ultimately they had the same beginnings.

"Bubbelicious, also known as the Bubble Gum strain, is said to have originated in the Midwest, more specifically by growers in Indiana. The genes of the plant were then moved to the New England area and, eventually, Holland. Thereby creating many different variations and generations to create what is now Bubbelicious. The name Bubble Gum/Bubbelicious stems from its sweet smell and taste, which is quite similar to the actual candy.

Bubbelicious is an inbred strain with no F1 hybrid. It's an indica, so the plant is short and squat with large leaves and heavy, dense buds. Bubbelicious is rarely full of branches, though it sometimes varies in size and can be what most growers deem "stretchy"-meaning the plant makes up for its missing branch size through bouncy leaves and height.

This strain has quite a few original, unique qualities that are sort of trademarks of Bubbelicious: aside from it's sweet smell and taste, the plant also produces a euphoria-like high for an indica. Bubbelicious is the winner of four different High Times Cannabis Cups."

BUBBELICIOUS-MIDWEST MAMA

I know people I went to High School with that are still growing their original heirloom bubble gum strains from back in the day. It's amazing how much herb is grown in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky!

Ok here is the math, you want a strong healthy plant with good phenotypes.

If you get a pack from a quality breeder you will get what you are looking for in one pack. $90

If you order from somewhere like Nirvana you can't be sure you will end up with such a plant in one pack. It boils down to needing 3 packs to get the same amount of quality plants as you would from one pack of the other breeder. 3 x $30 = $90

Basically you have to spend your time growing 30 plants to find one or two good mothers.

If you buy quality genetics you can get your 1 - 2 mother plants from 10 plants.

Do you want to spend the time growing 30 plants to find 1 or 2 ?

Plus the genetics you start with play an important role in it all. Serious Seeds and TH Seeds started their breeding with the original plants from indiana.

your description from Nirvana says this strain has a few qualities, no where does it say it had anything to do with the originals from indiana, It could really be any strain that has similiar qualities.

"This strain has quite a few original, unique qualities that are sort of trademarks of Bubbelicious"

So why waste your time with an immitation when you can get the original genetics ?

The choice is yours, and many people are happy with nirvana and good for them, but I would rather have the highest quality plants available in the least amount of time.

very true la9 great advise thanks.
so are you basicaly saying that true original breeds are a beter option then crosses?
just curious because there are a few blueberry crosses out there that i have me eye on that apparently still hold blueberry taste and or flavour characterisitic. maybe you have heard of these or would be interested in checking thema nd giving me your thought on them (this questions is for everyone reading as well)

White Berry - Paradise
BlueMoonshine - DJ Shorts (D.P)
Blueberry Skunk - Flying Dutchman

in your opinions guys, does the original blueberry from Dj Shorts and Dutch Passion, still beat these crosses in flavour and smell?!
