I was in Holland in 1998. I went to 157 different shops with a local. I was not really that impressed. CA, CO and OR have gone nuts since then. There are far more growers here. It is not a stretch to say we have more and therefore better weed. I did say weed, not growers.
98 was 17 years ago I'm sure they have gotten better since then too..... Plenty of Dutch grow weed to, all them shops they got just in Amsterdam then street deals theirs a bit. They also have all the American genetics even some clone onlys so yeah their weeds at least close the absolute best of the best all depends who is smoking it really same as beer you may like OG the best while I may like Blue Dream best or Amnesia Haze. You drink Coors Light I hate that shit.

And I know damn sure CA ain't the best hands down they got some not so great weed I ordered some off the darknet so their is sub par weed everywhere even out west some really good shit too but none the best. Best comes from New England if you ask me. :bigjoint:

My favorite beer is Sierra Nevada, mainly their pale ale. Have I had better? Of course, but i haven't been able to put back a case of those "better" beers like I can SN pale ale. I love it. But it does give me a little heart burn, and I somehow gain weight when I drink a lot of it. So My diet beer is Curz lite.
So anyways, The Sierra Nevada brewery/restaurant is about 25 min away.
Best beer=Sierra Nevada PA, Chico, Ca USA
Best indoor weed= 25 minutes away from there^^^ :-D
Best outdoor=Hawaii. 2nd place is NorCal

Sticking up for Mainy? Interesting. Also, thanks for the directions.

Perhaps, but without a sound education, intelligence isn't easy to 'measure'. I take your point that education isn't the be all and end all, though.

I have not had a Belgium beer that did much for me.
Going to Belgium is not in my plans.

I am far from a beer snob. I probably drank 3 Odell IPAs last night and about 7 coors lights.
PROOF, RIGHT HERE that Colorado beers in general and Ft Collins in particular has some of the best beer anywhere. Then there's the buds grown here... and inevitably, the cooperative ventures between growers and brewers here...

Yes, Ft Collins, Colorado. The BEST when it comes to suds n buds.

EDIT: New Belgium is brewed here. So is O'Dells. The biggest Budweiser plant west of the Mississippi is here. And so is @homebrew420 Nuff said.

Reported as having a lot of truth to it.

Last week I picked up a beer new to my corner store. A WI IPA named Hopothesis. How does a beer this poor get distribution? Really bad beer. I had nothing but it in the fridge yesterday so I poured it. Eventually it just got warm with only one third gone. I just couldn't drink it. Terrible beer, like bong water.

More and more of those hitting the shelves every day. I suspect that a lot of these microbrews have quietly been acquired by the big guys who are fighting for market share and cooler space.

That fight has been going on for awhile and markets like Ft Collins' are well known as places to test new beers being considered for wider distribution. Cuz we don't put up with no bad beer here and we aren't afraid to call one out for not being up to grade.

More recently, we've been gaining the same reputation in the buds arena, as well.

Two other fine breweries, Oskar Blues and LaGunitas. If you make it to Ft Collins, you may as well stop in Longmont at the Thirsty Weasel. And I don't know if I shared this, but the LaGunitas taproom in Chicago is spectacular for both food and drink.

Oh, both companies are higher than shit.

Drank a Tree Shaker last night. I am not one for fruit beers, but this is good. It is not really peachy.

^ Fruity IPA's are the best. Cause they're not sweet and usually only have a hint of fruitiness if done right. Grapefruit Sculpin is my all time favorite beer. Dogfish Head Aprihop is really good too. Haven't tried that one but will look for it.

Now if they could make a light IPA that doesn't compromise on flavor or alcohol, I'd be all about it. All these IPA's and stouts and shit are making me fat.

I hear you. My mother was a teacher, so the rules of grammar were drummed into me from an early age. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here, and this is the last time I'll bring it up, but I was always taught that grammar is the foundation of good communication. Poor grammar, and the message you're trying to convey is lost.

Classic troll example: "Your gay!" My gay what?..

As for posting nonsense, I would argue that everything Maindonkey posted was useless. I took pleasure in trying to make him look like a clown any way I could. Fortunately, that fucko is gone for now.

Back to the point of the thread, I love beer and weed. Very much. Too much, even..

Peace in the Middle East.

No offense, but I thought that the grapefruit overpowered it. I like a good grapefruity beer but I think that the hops can bring the grapefruit better than the grapefruit can.

I agree on the fat part but I think I would rather stick with the IPA's. My problem is that I really love the Imperial IPAs. This spring brought an ad infancy of them. I think I had about a dozen really excellent different types this year. Even Goose Island's didn't suck.

I've just given up solid food to cut down.
