I don't even try to guess at what someone might do anymore, there is so much information, misconceptions and misinformation available anything is possible.

If your grow is all on one 15 amp circuit or heat is an issue, the avoid the 1000 Watt lights.
600 Watts gives you the most light per Watt.

They are also the MOST popular for indoor folks that run smallish ops.
That hydro Guy is running a business first and educating second.
As long as folks have decent results with his instruction, he gets repeat business from sheep that will buy whatever he is selling.

you don't need a reflector because you have one. Or you can home brew a cool-tube and use the reflectorized bulbs from the same peeps for 50 a pop.

digi ballest arent all there cracked up to be they are hard on bulbs and they dont make your lights use less power contray to stupid hippy belief. there is this thing you can look it up its called ohm's law your watts are your power usage you cant change that. they r switchable and do run cool. but all my old school ballest will run my bulbs there ful life the digi burns 2 a year up

hey guys.. i recently ran a 400w mh for my veg and a 400w mh and 600w hps for my flower(both 120/60's)...running the 400w for a month was only 30 bucks more than last month.. but i was concerned about my bill having both running in flowering.. both lights together for one month was 150 dollars more..but we also had 5 ac units running CONSTANTLY throughout the house instead of 2 and 2 more people living with. so altogether, running both of my lights (o and i forgot to add my cfl's for veg. (4 125w cfls and 2 t8-4ft) was and will be, well worth the money!
if u do tha 400 you might as well pay the extra 20 for tha 600w ballast, get twice the light and still cost just about tha same as running the 400w...in my town, all the 400,600,and 1k bulbs and parts are easy to get. some like the 4 becuz u can keep it close to the plants, but with the 6 u cant keep it close without burning the plants and still get twice the light..im thinking about doing my next batch with a 1000w mh/hps..have a friend that preaches to me about the 1000 and for the grow that im doing (6 plants 7x5x8 room) and the money i spend on lights, ill sell my two and get the 1k and still pay the same as i was running both 400 and 600...so im pretty convinced that the 1k is well worth the money especially after seeing his baseball bat buds..so it all depends on what you have to grow with. size of your room, how much you want to pay and how dank and dense you want your buds got that master kush and wonder woman...dutch passion is soon to come!!!

Yes, most American bedrooms are 15 amps. You should really only put like 12 sustained amps on a circuit to avoid damage and fire.

Hey Cap'n, that is the one that I bought about a year ago. Great deal for an entire setup, but I did get a better reflector.

I would have to reccomend LUMATEK. I utilize a 250w ballast, a 400w ballast and a 600w ballast they do a thousand watter, but thats too much for what I need, These LUMATEK ballast's all have boost swithes for use with HPS bulbs for flowering (not MH during veg) (MH bulbs will explode, too much power) its called a super lumen switch and they are fuckin bright hope this helps you sway your mind - STELTHY
