What's up Hazy? Oh let's see. Tokin on some COC @dream2003 . Not totally dried and cured yet but vapes just fine. I'm finding a seed here and there. Pollen from the Berry??? Probably.

I will grow some out down the road. COC + Berry?? Maybe.

Pollen is still dropping from the Berry in it's own cab. There are seeds on a few buds but not many. I would guestimate ~100. Well worth the $20 for the TM though plus I have the pollen.

CS project put on hold.

Still waiting for the selected AKR to produce more pistils before I dust them with the Berry pollen.

Berry Ryders and AKRs
5_15_15.png

2 Berrys in the front smelling real good. 4 AKRs in the back (I let one go vertical for the hell of it). Also somewhere back there are 3 more AKRs in red cups. Other than the red cups, everything is in a 1 gallon grow bag.

So the next exciting thing (for me at least) will be dusting the AKR with Berry dust. BKRs baby...............

Your plants are looking awesome. Great size and density, esp for one gallon pots. Are they plastic bags or the smartpot ones?

Of all the auto's you've grown, which would you say has been the strongest/most pure indica/stone-y effect.
The most body/mind relaxing and couchlock type.

@EverythingsHazy These are all in 1 gal grow bags. Just transplanted these three from the red cups. Took about 15 mins for all. Love these things. LST with them is not difficult just looks a little ugly with tape instead of the holes I'm accustom to in the hard plastic pots. Ya...you can push them together and somewhat change the shape if needed. When you fill them with dirt it makes a flat bottom. Holes are already in the bags at the bottom. Black on the inside. White outside.

Want a few samples to try? I have 1 gals and 2 gals. Think I bought 25 2 gals and 50 1 gals. I haven't tried the 2 gals yet.

RE: LST - I'm thinking maybe one of those thick white rubber bands around the middle of the bag. :hump: That should definitely hold some strings secure.

Pretty cheap too at HTG.

$6.50 / 25 pcs 1 gal
$7.70 / 25 pcs 2 gal

They come in 10,25,50,100

Hey, thanks man. I appreciate the offer. I actually have some of the 1 gallon ones. Just haven't really gotten around to using them yet, though. I like how the outside is white so it reflects more light than the usual dark colored plastic pots.

That's is definitely pretty useful in getting the most out of your grow space.

If you've never tried smartpots (the fabric ones), they are pretty cool too. They let the edge of the soil breathe, which prevents the roots from circling and becoming tangled, and the plant from becoming root bound. IThey also are supposed to encourage more branching out of secondary and tertiary roots (and so on), which helps your plants get the most out of the soil they are in. If you like these bags, you'll probably like those too. They are super easy to do lst with, since you can just stick wire through the sides to anchor it wherever you want. If you do try them, be sure to water the plant starting at the outside of the pot and working your way in, because otherwise you'll end up with most of the outer soil being bone dry and useless, if you water from the middle hoping it will spread out evenly.

1. The seeds on the Berry are looking good. I think there are more than I previously thought. It's still growing.
.
2. The AKR recipient of the Berry pollen still needs more pistils.

3. This is the AKR I let go vertical in the above pic. Looks like it's going to be a leaner. I hate this problem. :bigjoint: Should be a nice bud up there. This is the plant that had the lil nanners early on at the 4-5th nod. I have seen nothing since. Should I hit a few lower buds with the Berry dust? Or because of the early nanners, stay away?

The AKRs have some nice thick pistils. I wonder if each pistil represents a seed if it were pollenated?

Anyone Anyone??

Hey, did you end up choosing the akr that made pollen sacs earlier in life, or is that a different one. I'd strongly advise against it if, that is the one that had that growth, especially since you have a bunch of AKR seeds, and the means to make many more.

I love my 600.
Look great..I told you that BR was helluva producer.

Funny how we all start slackin once harvest rolls around...get stoned and lazy (hazy; had too). Harvested total 6oz from one 600W light...luv my 600W too...thing is though i'm using a 600W Blue day light all the way through harvest. this will be sixth harvest from same light (about year old now) so safe to say thinking about changing it out soon. I got new hood in mind also.

MY seed mamas are in there final days. been just over 30 days since pollination for both AKR + BR. Should have seeds in about another week. Some seeds are showing signs of maturity already....

Thanks for posting pics. I will get some more pics up soon.

Hey All,
here is updated pic of Berry Ryder & AKR seed mamas. I think the are officially done! I went and knocked around the Berry Ryder seed mama and she dropped all kinds of mature seeds. So now I plan on chopping her, drying and collecting seeds. Whoo hooo...should have great stash of BR Seeds (f2) for all future harvest and to spread around with friends.

Also pretty sure the AKR is done too! Will chop her within the week.

Bud harvest pics....6oz. BR + AKR...Thanks a bunch HighLowGrow...your shit kicks ass!!!!

Have you pollinated a berry ryder before? If not, those are f1 seeds. The first generation of seeds. If you were to cross one of them with a sibling from the same generation (f1), or self pollinate one, those babies would become f2.

So I shook the seeded Berry plant over this AKR an hour ago. It still had a bit of pollen left on it. I also have been collecting pollen in a pill container. I held it down in the middle of the AKR and shook it until I saw a good pollen cloud. Hopefully the pollen is all good. Knowing me, I'll probably go out there and do it all over again later tonight.

I was going to LST this thing early on and decided I didn't need to.

Hazy...The Berry Ryder Seed Mama for this project came from seed from my first success with seeding Berry Ryder. So yes I'm thinking this would be an F2. Correct?
