Hey all my plant (sensi star) was doing very good up until today when i noticed a bunch of white spot on my leafs (mostly lower part of the plant).

Today was an exceptional hot 39celsius and humid day with no wind at all.

I took 20 mins to wipe off all the PM i could see with a scott towel moisted by a solution of water ans peroxyde..light dosage.

What should I do next considering im about 2-3 weeks from harvest ?

5 gallon pot, outdoor , one more nut feeding this friday to go. (Buds picture is from yesterday)

Thin out the plant and keep the air moving. Doesn't mattah if your from the steam bath that used to be coastal mass. This is ridiculous.

This mildew is very hard to control, your whole grow area is likely contaminated with spores. UV light on an on going basis will help keep this at bay. You can try 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar mixed with one quart of water. Mist this mixture onto your plants to both kill the powdery mildew growth and prevent any more from cropping up

I have it bad in my flower box outside. Treated with baking soda and saw improvement. Purchased Bushdoctor force of nature fungicide from fox farm as was afraid it could get inside with the weather we've had this summer. Used the fungicide on flower box and really disappointed for $30. no better results than spraying weak peroxide or soda. Well it made it inside but only a very small area of one plant. Not sure I want to put this fungicide on my plant if it doesn't work that well. Just read that burning sulfur will get rid of it not just control it. Any thoughts? Two plants have only 3 weeks to go. Other two in veg.

Just be sure when you harvest you give them a good bath after trimming with lemon juice and backing soday in warm water it will remove any mildew that may be in your buds you dont want to smoke that shit, Jorge Cervantes has a great Youtube video about it.

But he only uses water and peroxide. Is lemon juice and baking soda better? Just did the h202 thing. Works ok if you're not heavily infested.

I have used the same method but

wrap the pot base in a trash bag

and dip the mold infected plant into a pot of airtemp water and 10% bleach

dip again into a rinse to clear the bleach

allow to air dry

very effective on all molds

good luck

PM is systemic, wiping off the leaves will not eliminate it. Cleaning off the spores may give you the impression as "out of sight, out of mind" but the hyphae network is internalized in the epithelial cells. The only way to know for sure your plant is PM free is to genetically screen for it. I can do the testing for you the only requirement is a small hole punch (4mm) and the test takes less than two hours. DM for details. Below is data that I did for a member on this forum.

You seem knowledgeable on PM. Is it ok to smoke buds with PM after giving them a h202 bath? Did that with a plant I harvested but I think it still has PM. You can't see any but my allergies go crazy when I smoke it. Thanks.

Pm is no biggy but the forthcoming pythium is...

keep that bitch at bay

I use neem oil, or anything to break that surface tension

good luck
I spray neem as a PM prevention as well ....so far so good .....I imagine a lot has to do with the environment as well....if it's perfect for growing PM ....chances are ...............

Soaking the buds will ruin the quality bud because your also washing away terpenes as well. It's like I mentioned before pm is still present after a surface wash. That will probably explain why you initiate an allergic response...mildew is type of mold.

Neem oil will only suppress it.
Don't know about that. Shit is still potent and crystaly

Washing your outdoor buds makes sense. Dirt, bugs and anything else that could have accumulated over the grow I'm sure mess with the smoothness and flavor. The bud I washed still looks good and is extremely potent so don't know how much of the good stuff is washed away. But that being said it still must have some PM on it. Thinking of making bubble hash.
