it will turn your best friend into your worst nightmare, it can cause you to do stupid things. i hear it all the time from unfortunate people who got screwed from their new grow partner. be careful and trust no one. dont make the mistake i made
i took a risk and became a caregiver for this guy and grew his 12 plants at his house. i invested about $4 grand in a setup plus all my labor. he wanted to have his son get involved who was one of those mr know it alls that didnt know shit. he had no intentions of getting a medical card and his own mother said not to trust him. he was trying to weasel his way in, he gave us some seeds that i didnt want cause i dont trust random breeders and made us this cfl light fixture for flower and tried claiming it would put out almost as much light as a 600w hps which is not even close true. one day i just had enough and told my patient, i dont want your son involved. i dont trust those seeds, that light is junk. im the one spending all the money, i want to do this my way or im gonna take my equipment and go somewhere else. he got upset and walked away. later i had a talk with him and his wife and they basically said he took it real personal and was upset. i said i cant be wasting my time. im wasting my money on paying for electricity for a light thats basically junk, and growing seeds that we cant even be sure about. its going to end up costing us, i spend a lot of money and it has to be done my way or its not going to work and we're going to end up losing. one day he started the seeds without telling me and it put us over the limit so i had to give a couple other plants away to keep us within legal limits. i was pissed but let it go. his son kept coming over more claiming he had some outdoor plants with pounds of weed on them. i knew it was all bullshit. the only time i ever seen this tool have weed was some ok commercial. he wanted to bring one of the plants over. i thought fuck this, i dont want pounds of weed at a place im growing with some idiot that dont even have a card. probably all bullshit, but either way i want no involvement. i knew i had to get out. so one day i came there with a friend and we made up a bullshit story that i got all the equipment from a friend and owed money so he was here to repo it. got all my shit back but i left my x patient with his plants and my 2 old magnetic ballasts, mh and hps bulbs that need replacement. good thing i dont put all my eggs in 1 basket and still have my other 2 grow spots. i'd like to slap this idiot for pissing me off but hes old and kinda disabled do it wouldnt be right. he'll just end up slapping himself anyway for listening to his idiot delinquent son and grow garbage. hes lucky cause before i was there, he couldnt even keep a plant alive.
so dont grow at other peoples places, you can get screwed. make them sign a contract or whatever you gotta do. you really dont wanna have to bring cops over to get your stuff back. especially in a small town that has cops that mostly frown on pot. im lucky i have a lot of really good friends that would do almost anything to help me.
