keep your head down and keep moving forward.
Or....keep your head up. Better to see what's coming ahead.

I know this was a reality check that hit way to close to home. Let me just say that if the cops ran in my house right now, they would find only what I am legally allowed to have. And I'm going to keep it that way.

So should you all. Enjoy your freedom.
Then others in non-legal states continue to risk freedom by being self-sufficient and growing their owns meds. It's a conundrum.

it is stories like this that remind me why I don't post pictures of my gear, I don't want to risk what I have worked so hard for. .
I applaud your restraint, and good sense. Who doesn't like the congrats from peers when proudly posting grows? It's an easy thing to get addicted to, but yeah......it hasn't happened that I know of, but who wouldn't consider themself a fool for posting the evidence used for a bust?:wall:

Posts won't be the down fall in a prosecution, the plants/bud will be. I'm sure the garden itself would be the key evidence. Posting history I suppose could be used to show how long it had gone on for.

I'm thinking 'search warrant'. Pics = probable cause. If they want you bad enough, it can be done.
Courts are mixed on this depending on what circuit court you fall under. Most cases have ruled pictures can't prove a drug is a drug... didn't stop that asshole mayor in Peoria .
though

Eta I still hope that the room mates 4 ounces seized gets thrown out over that parody account raid. That case alone goes to show how hell bent someone can be can inadvertently fuck shit up

they used people over their plant limits and selling to folks without cards as the excuse to take away our grow rights up here.

I don't believe it was anywhere near as big of a problem as the gooberment would have us believe.

The government up here is so antipot its crazy IMO to get on their med program, it's nothing short of a Cannabis user registry like we are sex offenders or something, it's ridiculous.

I've seen cases were over the limits were thrown out, and I've seen cases were folks were prosecuted.

It's just like some communities, such as mine, are fine and even encouraging of dispensaries and others crack down with full wrath.

I'm simply glad I'm in a liberal community/county, seems like some of the west side of the state has had cases go either way as well. The closer one is to TC on that side of the state have had better outcomes but just a few years before medical hit the scene I recall head shops being shut down

A huge % of licenses are undoubtedly selling to the black market (which is why the price of pot in parts of Canada is the lowest in the world on average at least in developed countries). But they shouldn't even have prohibition in the first fucking place.

The more I read about it, the more it seems like one is putting themselves at more risk by trying to be "legal" rather than just keeping off the radar. I hear about card holders constantly being messed with by law enforcement in Michigan, but I rarely hear about someone who doesn't bother with the whole medical thing having any problems. It seems like trying to do things the right way just gets you put on a to be watched list by law enforcement.
I agree with you here! The medical thing is bullshit!!!!! It's like here I am come Fuck with me!! Believe me i know first hand, it's like they are trying to bust you all the time! Just waiting for you to slip up, or sometimes they just want your shit that bad and decide to take it!! Either way it's a FUCKED shitstem at best!!!
Kgp, you should be sticking up for your homie instead of condemning him!
The extract thing is just another way to control the medicine. Some people need the oil for cancer, epililepsy, and a myriad of other ailments. Some can't or don;t want to ingest smoke to medicate, especially around children!
THEY DON'T WANT IT FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES!!!
Look at the way the system is set up....limit this, and limit that!! How can they put limits on it if it is medicinal??
Most people suffer from multiple ailments, and must find strains that suit their specific condition. This takes much trail and error with different strains. Some work and some don't. Also very important, some strains work well for hash, some for extract.....a strain that might make great bubble might not make a medicinal quality extract! Also seed free crystals, has different medicinal effects than seeded crystals. And so one must experiment to find strains that work for these conditions. So, like in Hawai'i for example, you may only grow seven plants, three budding and four vegging. Now we don't have dipensaries, can't purchase seeds or clones, but have to adhere to such minimal numbers. Every grower is in violation of these laws in one way or another or at one time or another!!! Say if i have 3 budding and 4 vegging, and i take a clone or two for replication for the next round, but not exceeding the 3 budding, i am in violation of the law. Also one can only have 1 ounce per plant, so if i have a healthy plant that i start in the ground from seed and at harvest it produces four ounces, one has broken the law! How can they expect us to be God????
At any time we all could be taken down, especially since we're on a list!
Just saying, hard to find one who is not on a list!!!

I see what you're saying and totally get it BUT unlicensed growers still do get caught all the time. If I went in front of a judge I'd rather have SOME sort of "excuse". I stay up to date on all permits, recs etc. just showing I'm TRYING to adhere to the law. I don't know. It's all such a grey area. LOL.

I'll say this. In my area I read news stories with 2 outcomes. Some say LARGE garden 100+ plants etc. Residents had marijuana recs. The plants were taken but no charges were filed.

OR I read garden with 10 plants found. Resident had no MMJ rec. Illegal grow, felony charges etc....

I'd rather be the former.

Look, almost everyone I know with a license has at one time been without a license. Many of us have been using it as a "medicine" way before it was legal to do so. Really I have a hard time with the word medicine, compared to "recreational". To me, these words are used as to divide. Both sides are one in the same, seeking effects which are desired. Whether it be for pain relief, dealing with shit, calming oneself down, being centered, whatever it is, it comes from the same species of a plant. That's amazing diversity, in a very safe plant. Do I think you should forgo chemo, and just use cannabis? Hell no. I'm not a goddamn medical doctor and I'm pretty sure if I were that would be malpractice. Nonetheless a very few negative side effects are heavily out weighed by the positive.

No one should be criminalized by something so harmless yet beneficial.

But don't blow your house up or your neighbors because basic chemistry eludes you.

I used to post on OG and Planet Skunk. I live in an area in Canada where the enforcement agency is the RCMP and they have a completely different mandate than the Ontario Provincial Police or other city police services. They have a hard-on for the simplest things. I also work in government and any legal matter related to cannabis would render me unemployed/unemployable. Hopefully with the up coming federal election I will no longer need to fear persecution. I would love nothing more than what Amos said, but I have a wife and children that I need to put ahead of my desire to get my tires pumped by all of you great folks on here.

*edit - or have you guys rip on me lol

This is what I am talking about. When I was in Ontario (liberal), I was less concerned, but I am in a more conservative area (Central Canada).
