being a regular BC ferries user i figured i would ask the companies stance on using medication on there vessels and property. here is the interesting response

"Dear Customer,

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with BC Ferries to inquire about our policy relating to use of medical marijuana on our premises. BC Ferries does not permit any customers (including those who can produce a Health Canada card) to use marijuana aboard vessels, or anywhere on our property (same as consumption of alcohol). When issuing these cards, Health Canada does not specify where or when a person may use marijuana; the holder of the card is expected to use discretion in that regard. Use in a public place may be considered inappropriate depending upon the circumstances, and a private company/property holder's policies are to be complied with.

Again, thank you for contacting us to learn about our policy relating to medicinal marijuana use on BC Ferries premises. "

I wonder how they would feel about me taking my morphine by injection on their ferry?

I've been on lots of BC ferries. I had no problem smoking weed or drinking alcohol. The only thing I ever got bugged for was having a stowaway in my vehicle. But I quickly smoothed that over. I actually enjoy smoking weed on BC ferries and BC ferry terminal. The air is always so very fresh. Just don't be obvious:)

Ha that is funny. They going to stop people from eating cookies and muffins? Wouldn't want anybody medicating on their property and all.

edibles would seem to be the hassle free way to go , but we should have the freedom to medicate in a designated smoking area during there 2 hour trip. i feel sorry for anyone whom may make the day trip on there vessel from prince Rupert to port hardy.

I got kicked out of a jail in nova scotia canada for smoking a reefer in my cell. They told me that if I got C-pic't I would come up unlawfully at large until my release date. Thank god we weren't at sea:)
Apparently they don't allow mj smoking in jails in canada either.
