Barneys farm - pineapple chunk (cab, LED, DIY waterfarm)

i haven't actually been home since the seed broke through i will start as soon as i get back and turn on all the lights too. its a little behind were it should be but that ok its a head start compared to if i started when i got back.

Day 12:

as you can see its 12 days old but looks 5 days no growth in the last few days iv added nutes today my ph is 5.9 and ppm is around 600. i also replanted it a bit lower in the hydroton so it will get more water i think that may have shocked it a bit but i feel better with it like this, it has a lot of roots so i think it might have been putting all its energy into making roots to find nutes... ah well live n learn next one i wont wait as long to add nutes.

i also changed the hours on the lights to 18-6 just in case, i think i will only switch back to gas lantern schedule a few weeks before flower but for now its on long to get some growth. i have also turned on the cobs and the Hans panel to flower.

Ok the changes seem to be working nute n lights etc. Second set of leaves started since yesterday.

aww mate,i sprouted an auto last friday,and its as big as yours,my chunk took,5 and a half month's mate its in a jar curing now,lovely smoke tho lad

Did ur bean take this long this is my first indoor and hydro so bit of an experiment hopefully it will speed up now ive added nutes

she will have growth spurts,sometimes she didn't do anything for days then boom,just a slow ass plant mate is all,i thought it was worth it i got 6 dried oz off her so cant complain,autos are the way to go mate,seed to smoke in 2months,amazing believe me,my bird ran the auto bluedream strain,jasus mate its on my top 5 smokes,got some more seed on the way.auto jack herror is my next grow aswell,il run 8 autos n see whats the craic with them all fruity strains except jack harror o'h and a purple kush auto is ment to amazing,keep up the growing mate

Painfully slow growth in hoping it will speed up once it gets bigger, well im just guna see this out like u said it will be worth it hopefully ha, i will defo try an auto but for now i wana learn by controlling the flip and Scrogin it.

mine took two weeks to settle into the 1212,i topped and defoliated mine,she went the shape of a boat, very sateva fingers everywhere.ye man just grow it out,ye started now lol.if you can fit a small auto into your grow box do so coz it will finish long b4 your chunk.you will have something to smoke while your waiting for the chunk.you will prob have 6 weeks for the chunk to be down and your anto curing

600ppm is very high for a seedling...

Nah guna keep it to one plant wana fill the screen with tops to grow evenly n concentrate on one plant. i have a auto 8 ball kush freebie ill stick in there next.

yea porky my water is around 90 so about 500 is too high but its doin ok so ill keep topping up with water for awhile n dilute it but it is starting to grow now so im happy still slow but will never be fast enuf haha.

Starting to get a little nute burn i think or moght be due to the high temps ill keep an eye on it...

Its growing very slowly and really tight, not sure wats going on, its small for 3 weeks and the leaves are all droopy and feel crisp, not sure if its just the leds keeping it short and its an indica or if its the nutes or too hot. Ill keep going anyway hopefully itll speed up as it grows.

I grew two pineapple chunks and both were sativa dom and both went 70 days before I chopped because the product was so far from what was advertised. Both plants ended up being over 4 ft tall indoor, I flowered them at 16-18". One plant had small rock hard dense buds that tasted like sandal wood the other was a huge christmas tree, largest indoor plant I've ever grown, and worst of all it had anise taste which I hate.

No indica whatsoever. Complete waste of my time and space but you live and you learn.

You started fertilizing way too soon. You should probably dump out water in you waterfarm and this time only add about 2ml of that flora nova grow per gallon, if that. Plus have your light about 8-10 inches from tops, or higher if your light is super bright, until it starts growing normal. Also that gas lantern lightning is probably not helping things. Just veg under 18 hours of light and flower at 12. I know people want to be thrifty but it is costing you a lot of final product.

Lastly, sorry I know not the most positive of information I'm dumping on you but my experience with pineapple chunk was not pleasant. I did them in dwc buckets with flova nova. As others mentioned be prepared for that plant to get huge and take forever to bloom. Cheers and hope you get an indica dom.

Yea i hear yea i just checked the ph is at 6.2 and ppm at 450 , i added around 5ml the first time to my res which is 9-10 ltrs i think its getting diluted down i have only added nutes that one time and only water since, the lights are on 18 hours for around 2 weeks n the lights are around 10 - 15 inches away the whole time, i think ill leave it and keep adding water for awhile.

I think it may just be getting overwatered im temped to turn off the pump n let it dry out n see it she perks up

Looking much better really starting to grow fast hopefully its over the nute burn there are alot of roots on the res now im just guna leave it with the nutes it has and top up with water untill i see signs of def's ha its growing tight with fat leaves so im guna say ive got the indica dom pheno woop! Was starting to stink of diesel but today it was mych fresher n citrusy

the new growth looks really healthy looks to be over the nute burn, im a bit worried growth might explode because i have to leave for 10 days n i want to train it into a scrog net hmmmm.... might have to give my girlfriend a crach coarse in weaving haha hopefully it wont get too big b4 i get back :/
