Its not being done by the people in the neighborhood. The looting and burning in B-more is being done by a much smaller group and they can come from anywhere. It's ignoramuses like NLX and others who naturally assume all the people in the neighborhood are crapping their own beds. Of course, they aren't. Assumptions like yours are a common limitation in ability to think that racists experience.

I believe that racism exists in various parts of society, but I also think it is a convient excuse for some people to use for their own shortcomings.

Honestly,i think this country is going to hell in a handbasket and it makes no difference whatsoever whether a donkey or elephant is leading the charge.

Actually, that's not racism. Racism is a belief in the superiority of one race over another. We can recognize differences and we can recognize that a group in this country are treated differently based upon skin color but racism justifies that treatment based upon an assumed superiority of one's race over another. Having authority or power to act on that belief and then doing so is pernicious racism or often just called racism.

Baltimore's police force has a history of pernicious racism. As does many other police forces in this country. Hence the Black Lives Matter movement, which draws so much ire from the right. They oppose police hurting those that they are supposed to protect and racists are angry about the attention that movement is getting. Small wonder that.

Actually, you brought it up, so I'm really interested in what you think about what Ben said. He said he wanted the police to burn down the black neighborhoods of Baltimore. I'm curious if your wear your robe on the outside like he does or just on the inside like so many cowardly racists do in this country.
