Bagseed Reveg - 28watts of LED

Just imagine the whole grow -as it ' unfolded' to be -,under 28 Watts of CFL or HID lights (automobile ones ) .....
What would have been the yield then ?
Just an estimate ?

My guess is that would have never been 11 grams ...
Not even close ....

Always wanted to do a vertical scrog with a single car hid lamp.

I didnt realise but those "xenon" type lamps are just primed with xenon. They're metal halides (with a sealed outer shell?) apparently.

vOv from wiki

"Automotive HID may be called "xenon headlamps", though they are actuallymetal-halide lamps that contain xenon gas. The xenon gas allows the lamps to produce minimally adequate light immediately upon start, and shortens the run-up time. The usage of argon, as is commonly done in street lights and other stationary metal-halide lamp applications, causes lamps to take several minutes to reach their full output.
The light from HID headlamps exhibits a distinct bluish tint when compared with tungsten-filament headlamps."

I didnt mean primer. no idea what the technical term is, lol.

LOL! ...

( At one moment I was thinking :

"Am I left behind that much ? Can we use gases as primers,by now ? How the heck they make them adhere to glass ?
....
Stoned,of course ....)

28watts of CFL would be laughable at best and I don't think I've seen an HID light under 70watts. When you put it that way, I feel better lol...

the low wattage HID lamps were talking about are these HID car headlights you can get - theyre normally either 35W or 55W each.

Lol! I think they'd grow some weed but I can picture it now...

"Honey, the car isn't starting this morning..."

I just thought I'd finish this with a smoke report...

The bud is fluffy/frosty (except the tops, which are solid). Neutral smell (only been around a week since chop...) when sitting but break it up and you'll get a skunky/pine-sol lemon smell (pungent). Taste is fairly bland and the smoke is exceptionally smooth (it leaves a thin film on the inside of your mouth upon exhale (lingering taste/an aspect I enjoy for some reason...). One hit and I feel a slight pressure on the bridge of my nose/under my eyes (great feeling...), another hit and I feel like turning the music up, and another makes my heart race/gets me irie... Good day time weed.

On another note, I feel as though mother nature is smiling on me... I chopped EVERYTHING off of my plant and left absolutely no foliage (except a few calyx here and there...). I tossed her outside, lo and behold I noticed she has begun revegetation... I don't think I'll be able to complete another grow in the time frame that I'm looking at but I'm going to run with this, I feel I've been deemed responsible... I need to work on my lighting setup, desperately.

For anyone who cares/my own personal notes:
Currently veg/flower under - 10xWW 3xNW
My thoughts on this particular source of light is that it is vegetative specific. I feel as though the 660 red that I'm lacking will complete my flowering spectrum and Luxeons Rebel ES looks like my main candidate atm (RapidLED.com).
I feel as though 2.5/3:1 (WW:HR) is a good ratio.
What I'm looking at for this next grow:
Another panel just like the one I have, except I will work on them to re-arrange LEDs and to incorporate the 660. Total LEDs:18xWW/6xRed660/2xNW (Cree XT-E/I will be e-mailing them about getting 2200k on PCB stars, if not I will stick with 2700k). I've yet to arrange them/add anything special/finish this J... Feel free to share your thoughts... See you all soon...

yeah, but they're growing sofaking fast, and not everoe who is subbed here, is subbed to me

Anyway this thread has about run its' course, though it should be a sticky as it proved how little white wattage one needs when using quality leds

Look at the spacing on those clones... Tight!!! Sorry PF, I lurk a lot but rarely leave comments! It's a habit for me (being a forum-phantom...). Thanks for sharing and I'll definitely keep myself updated...

This thread? Sticky?! Maybe when I actually get it right :P...

EDIT:
I top dressed/filled the sides of the smart pot with a mixture containing:
Equal parts: Kelp, Alfalfa, Crab meal... (Couldn't find Neem seed meal/will scratch in later)
Also a good helping of Gaia green glacial rock dust, some powdered bentonite and some mycos.

This 2gal pot definitely has a soil that's alive(I swear fungus has started colonizing the soil...), so I won't fuck with it (just recharge it :)). My reveg girl has tiny little leaves, but I'll have a picture sooner or later... And probably another thread.

Correct observation. Yes, very tight. Cloner was thrown together in a hurry, based on where my 2 tents are in flower, thought I would have more time before 2 of the clones went all Godzilla on me. They really need to be moved to > 2 x 2 area, which is not in the cards. Probably 4-5 days from harvesting my HOT5 girls (tris not yet amber), planning to move the clones there.
