Autoflower root issues

Mad as a fart

Hi folk. I started some seeds off a week or so ago in paper towels and potted in soil once the tap root started. Problem is the tap root look like all have stopped resulting in the roots only forming an inch or so below the surface of coco. Anything I can do with them? Was thinking voodoo juice might help or are they just going to be runts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Happy growing.

if my tap roots aren't poking through the bottom of my 5gal pots within like 3days i usually dig around every 15min to see how long it is... i used to dig around once a day after 3days but found they like to be dug up more often... plus roots only grow down not out so you haven't totally fucked the delicate web of roots shooting out in every direction.. if you can't see the roots w/the naked eye from a foot away they don't exist.. i'd say next time start your seeds in a thimble... transplant to a shot glass.. then a dixie cup and so on...

kid you know i'm an asshole!!! i shouldn't have said anything... but i couldn't help it.. i should have left something more helpful....
and that would be; just relax and let them grow... when you over think it you fuck it up... if you think it needs more water it probably doesn't.. if you think it's a good idea to start digging around to see how big the tap root is... it probably isn't

I think you need to double the voodoo juice and say a prayer because by not giving them enough juice how will they succeed?

nutes + baby roots = death.
playing with roots of an auto = death.
transplanting an auto = death.

Start a new bean... IN THE SOIL/POT IT WILL FINISH IN. Make sure its grow medium is easy for roots to navigate (Like add 1:3 ratio of perlite:medium) then LET IT BE. Until that plant is several inches tall, just some nice healthy water.... then 25% strength nutes. Do not attempt to water it like its a photo plant, it will drown. It is WAY harder to underwater an auto, than to overwater.

If u want root nutes, bugger the voodoo, get sum root fungi/bacteria going on them. Some myco's n shit.

Hello M.A.D,
Been growing auto's for years and I breed to, so one word of advice. Never, and I mean never transplant an auto. And I know the old school way of germing, but imo, it's "old school" When you germ, try taking your seed and dropping it some water for 12 to 16 hrs. not letting the root tip show. Then, making sure your medium is nice and damp, not soaking wet, put your seed in and wait for it to sprout. Mine usually sprout in 3 to 5 days. Spraying the medium twice daily to keep the seed and the surrounding medium damp until germination starts.
Hope this helps out in some way...

a noob transplant stunts them .............
a plant allowed to rootbound will stunt .........
a properly timed correctly transplanted auto will just keep on growing..... if youre going to parrot info ....... atleast check to see if its even valid ........ mr.breeder

Lets see then, how many auto's have

Lets see then, how many auto's have you grown in your entire time.
Me, well over 200. Now what?
if you are a " breeder " then you would know 200 seed's is a F1 selection maybe a F2 .......
