what happens if you pollinate an autoflower with a normal plant or visa versa? does it take a long involved process to get the seeds to be stable autos?

just curious - thanks for any infos.. :) :leaf:

the 1st cross you'll get no autos..if you make F2's you should get around 25% autos...but if you you save auto pollen and do a backcross to the F1's you should get 50% autos.

then just pick out the auto parents, cross and you have full autos..

Dam i thought you got some percent of autos with the non auto cross the first generation, then just keep breading only the autos a bunch to get it to be a stable auto?

Does an auto plus a reg make a reg that finishes alot faster?

you wont get any autos in the first generation..your going to have to grow and cross some F1's. then grow out the F2's (2nd generation) you should find about 25% autos in

the F2's. then cross two autos for 100% auto trait. your still going to have to inbreed if you want a fully stable strain..the only prob is you going to want to grow out LOTS

of the F2s so you can find good auto pheno's... as for faster flowering,im sure you'll find a pheno in the first generation of a auto/reg cross that will flower faster then others.

but theres no other way to find them other then to grow out LOTS of the F1's so you can find that faster flowering pheno/trait...and when i say "LOTS" i mean 100's or 1000s

if you got the room.. cause if you only grow out a few your not going to see all the differnt pheno/traits..

As I understand You grow out the f1's then then backcross with the original P1 male pollen, then cross the auto's then you will have 100% auto strain that still needs stabilizing. Is that right meangreen69?

yeah the backcross with the P1 male pollen should give you 50% auto trait. then you just need to cross the autos from that 50%..but you do need to grow out a good amount of

the F1s and the backcrossed seeds, so you'll be able to find that 50% auto trait.
