Hey guyz, whats up?
Im growing automatic seeds in my porch ( outdoor).
i have some questions:
1- can i use the same soil to grow more than 1 plant?
2- can i top an automatic plant ? (Outdoor case)
3- do fertilizers really help in an automatic seed?

its my 5th plant and my biggest yield was 14 grams!
In an outdoor auto could i harvest more than that?
thank u all!!
Cheers

1 yes your refferring to put mutiple plants in one pot? It works but i wouldnt as a beginner because if you fuck up one you have to treat both
2 yes you can top but do it early and id just lst
3 yes you need ferts pot takes 17 elements to grow
4 yes u can clone but the clone will flower in the same time as the big plant

mostly correct....

1. other guy is correct. and if you mean re use the soil.. that's a good maybe..
2 .i wouldn't top or try to defoliate the plant in any way, other than dead leaves and maybe some fan leaves in the way of bud, lst it (look up low stress training)
3. you need ferts for a plant 17 base nutes. a good one to start is something called the lucas formula. but do 10/5 or 5.5G's.. autos are sensitive to nutes for the most part(http://lucasformula.com/)
4. you cant clone an auto.. it will die for the most part. and if you do manage to get a clone before it flowers (3 weeks from seed in most cases) it will flower at the same time as the mother. meaning no real value..

to put it into simple terms it is a pot plant just alike a pheno.. BUT NO VEG STATE!. seedling/flower....hence why topping is bad. the plant wants to get big enough to support buds and make them as fast as it can.. not worry about making two tops.. even when snipped at a young stage.. it will make for popcorn fluff in your bag..

this is also why it cant be cloned. it doesn't have any gene telling the plant that it needs to make new vegetative growth when its separated from the main plant...

this also suggest that someone may have played Monsanto in a lab to make an auto flower. either that or pot does actually grow in the wild in northern climates such as Russia and it evolved the ability to drop its vegetative state, because of the extremely short summers that have almost no night time.

You can top a slow growing auto with success BUT most autos are 65-75 days from germination. That does not give her a lot of time to heal and start growing again. The OP stated he has only grown 5 plants. For him, and any other grower who does not have lots of experience it is not wise to top an auto. LST is the way to go. Fishing weights are a great tool for LST and you can really open the plant up and get full bud on each stem.

To be fair I had only ever grown a total of 7 plants before this grow. I topped thinking they were photoperiod ... mixed up some seeds ... any way
