Autoflowering means you don't need to change to make them trigger flowering. 18-6 20-4 or 24-0 is all very common

First time with an auto for me I am using 18/6 only cause I have a photo vegging in the same room.
When I started 18-6 and 20-4 seemed to be the most common. I personally do 19-5 and put those 5 hours off between 12 and 5 pm. In summer it's the hottest then and in winter it's a little warmer so I don't really need to run heat when lights are off.

I made that mistake and now have white cookie plants that have been growing for 7 weeks under 20/4. I can't believe they didn't die lol. They did grow mutated tho

That's the beauty of the auto. You can run it on pretty much any light cycle. Most will run the course at 18/6, 20/4 or even 24/0 with no rest. I run 18/6.

I got great yeild and quality off an auto I was forced to run at 12/12 because it was run accidently with photos.

I plan on getting a small (ish) tent to grow my autos in the I can use the bigger room for the photo.
Just be cautious with them. I have 2 moby dick, one is 2' tall and 2' across the other is 5' tall and 5' across. They even came from the same package of seeds.

If your not having a heat issue stick what your doing. This is the only down side of autos. So for most people we search for cooler lights. I picked up 2 Mars light. And for veg they work great. I haven't done a full grow with them yet cuz of the temps and cost. After summer I will do a full run

Mars are terrible when it comes to efficiency. Put 600 actual watts of Mars in a tent and 600 hps in a seperate tent and you'll see exactly what I mean. Those watts are going towards heat instead of light so the plants suffer again.

I'm not sure what they do. The reason I picked up the mars was for heat issues...the lights run cool. I haven't ran them for a full cycle but I'm sure I can keep the temp down better using them

They appear to run cool because of the fans blowing around the heat. The other factor is the lower wall wattage. Per 100 watts of Mars you will get close to 80 watts of heat and 20 watts of plant usable light.

The claims that they are equal to a 600 or 1000w hps is false
