11 weeks curing in a jar

The smell in the jar is now a deep dark complex honey, with herbs and a sour sharpness. Very moreish lol I couldnt stop smelling it, its very hard to describe. Id like to grow again some time.

P.S. This strain is NOT an auto - neither is it sold as an auto. The breeder is 'Auto seeds' and this is the only photoperiod dependant strain that they sell, the rest are autos. Check out 'Acidjesus' Hijack grow on here, or theres a guy on autoflower.net who is currently flowering some epic trans siberian. So yeah, sorry for the confusion in the title :leaf:

Wonder if the ULH has some sour diesel genes in it? The appearence of it has a lot of the diesel qualities. So it looks a nice, long cure really helped? I don't have a lot of experience with growing but the smell of my first few harvests was rather disappointing. The quality was good though. How long do you usually cure your buds? I know it matters which strain your curing but was just seeking some overall advice.

Yep, my first harvests smelt really bad, because I dried them in a carboard box, which just seeps all teh cardboard smell into the buds. Its really strange. What i do now is just trim the large fan leaves off, then hang the whole plant upside down in the dark for about 6 days, with a small fan (or until the stems make a snapping noise) then in GLASS jars in teh dark, and just open the jars every day for 10 minutes or whatever, it shouldn't really matter much, as long as they are not damp in the jar. Doing this way really made a massive difference in my crop taste and smell. I also heard great things about brown paper bags, or brown paper envelopes. I did the envelope method on some popcorn nugs of the ultra lemon haze and tehy dried out lovely and smelled amazing, so will deff be repeating that for the popcorn nugs again. GL for your future grows, you can get rid of that horrible dry grass smell. And yes, the ultra lemon haze father i think is a cali sour diesel :-) :peace:

Im curing in jars and pretty much doing it just like you do. Guess I just need to cure longer. What I do is chop, traim major fan leaves, branches, hang upside down for 4-5 days (depending on humidity) put in a paper bag for 2 days, finish trimming and manicuring it, then into the glass jars for curing

thxs man i appreciate it ill get some pics on here see what u think as far as size per how many days its been......i took your advice and they have snapped out of it i slowed down the process quite a bit but am now back on track and they are thriving....i went and got a NPK tester and found out my dirt from my friends house was way high on the PK and had 0 N which is wayyyy bad so i reduced the PK and uped the N and in a total of 3 weeks have had to have 2 tranplants which is also bad....but had no choice.....3 days later walla back in business and their looking pretty good a little behind schedule but its good to learn and gain in knowledge as long as i dont killem .lol i have never killed anything yet and i dont wanna start

Ive still got a couple joints of this ULH left hahaha I've been keeping them for a sunny day in....summer. I had a sneak preview the other night and had a mini bong. wow It took me right back...racing sativa high. The smell in the jar is like galangal mixed with honey. Pure sweet with oriental citrusy ginger mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I just looked back at how much bud of this I had :-( I wish I saved more! waaaaaaaaaaaaa

Hello there lowblower. Nice thread you have going.

I have not yet jumped in and read all the post, but looks like your second attempt at this ULH?

Been searching around for a nice strain to put outdoor. Some of the criteria would be:
May to Aug durration.
15-16-15 hour light (may-june-july)
Outdoor strengths. Assume anything with ruderalis is going to fit that characteristic.
QP yield

What do you think, fit that description?

nah, only if you live in cali would I recommend this one outdoors. I don't know her highest light cycle threshold to induce flower, as I just went to 12/12. I would recommend you get some good proper autoflower genetics. This is a lovely plant but unfortunately its not an auto and you will probably end up with budrot outdoors :-(

erm you could try it. This is a sativa and it does stretch a lot in flower. How tall is your grow area? I think u would need at least a few feet vertical height just for plant to take up never mind distance from the lights. But best you can do is give it a go. Also remember you will need to go 12/12 lights from SEED! good luck :leaf:

well I have about three ft 7in of grow space as far as height goes
I've just read tht auto's r not the best to lst but i figured sence this one isn't really auto it would b fine
