I am going to pop all the freebies that I got with my last order from Attitude. I always request regular seeds but I got a couple fems of Sharks Breath with a DNA promotion. I negelected to pop the two freebie Reserva Privada Tangies with my other grow that has been going for over a month so I guess I will just do it now. I usually have pretty good luck with freebie seeds which in my mind makes sense. If you are trying to promote your seed company you probably shouldn't be giving away bunk beans so the freebies are usually well tested and perform admirably. Here we go.

tangie is very nice, citrusy great upbeat buzz, grows very well even in the tight space I had. If you haven't had that one youre in for a treat. Last I heard there were two or three phenos of it possible, don't remember what though it was over a year ago

I gave them the damp paper towel treatment and wrapped them in a dish towel for a little insulation and placed them on top of my refrigerator. The thermostat in my house is usually set to 70 but I think I will turn it up to 72 for the next couple days to get them germinating a little faster.DSCN0890.JPG DSCN0895.JPG

Yes I am hoping to find a nice Tangie. I ordered a whole pack of them and I have another grow posted on rollitup of them if you want to check it out. They are about a foot tall right now. They are very finicky feeders that do not like nutrients much at all. This can be a good thing because it will save money on the fertilizer bill but can be a bad thing if they are in some soil that is too rich.

Yesterday I planted the seeds into solo cups. One of the Tangies and one of the Sour Lemon OGs did not germinate. I planted them anyway since I already had the cups ready but I will be very suprised if they grow.

The seeds have sprouted. The Tangie and Sour Lemon OG that did not germinate did not sprout. One of the Afghan Kush did not sprout either. I dug the seed up and the taproot was damaged. I am sure this was my fault. I had a friend in town and did not get around to planting the seeds until a day after I should have. I generally like to put them in the dirt as soon as they crack open and a root is visible but these did not get planted until the roots were already extended and a couple of them even had cotyledons already out of the seed husks. I tried to be as delicate with them as I could but I must have broken the end of the taproot on that one. My bad.DSCN0910.JPG DSCN0917.JPG

Much to my suprise the Sour Lemon OG that did not germinate is actually growing. It looks wierd and stunted but who knows? It might be decent.DSCN0946.JPG DSCN0947.JPG

I planted them into #3 smartpots today. I cut off the bottom 2 or 3 levels of branches to make it easier to spray them. They were just starting to get majorly infested by some aphids somehow here in in January so I had been spraying them with spinosad and stylet oil every other day for the last week and in the hi-def picture above you can see some dead aphids when you zoom in. Little fuckers. I am pretty suprised that they somehow beat out the IPM regiment but I move stuff around so much that a little 10 plant crop like this can get overlooked. I will post some pictures in a few days but the only thing of note is that the big Sour Lemon OG started throwing out pollen sacs and the small Sour Lemon OG that sprouted late is growing some triple stems.
