Right! I mean, seeds are EXPENSIVE. My concern would be that a genetic female might not be able to produce enough pollen sacks to generate a whole crop of seeds which is what I would be most interested in.Yes i am with Diggity i want to see how it works then i am going to place a huge order of top stains and make a F load of seeds

Yeah i don't think it takes all that much pollen to make babies i could be wrong but from the videos i have seen online its not much

I've only created seeds once and they were not fem'd. Had a large room...probably 12x6 or so and a handful of pollen and turned the fans on high and blew the entire handful into the room. That sure did it
Got a freezer sized ziplock 2 inches thick full of seeds. Just question whether or not a CS'd girl could do the same. Hopefully Voice will shed some light for me.

It only takes a small amount of pollen to make an ass load of seeds. I have small glass containers with airtight lids, I will collect the pollen and place it in them along with a small desiccant pouch and place them in the deep freeze and I should be able to hold on to it for at least 4-6 months, maybe longer.
I am worried about it getting tougher for them to ship seeds here. I know a very nice couple from Colorado that grow their own and they are going to be shipping some beans to me when they go home in the spring. He has Tahoe OG and Platinum Bubba Kush that I really want to get my hands on.

Yes i understand where your coming from Asmallvoice i am moving soon and yes i have had 3/3 orders successful but i might move and get nothing so i want to do a order before i move that way i am 80% sure ill get them making your own seeds is the way to go for any grower me thinks its the next skill set in our growing skills we all need

My friend is a breeder for a dispensary here and he told me to save pollen in an envelope with a little rice in the freezer and it's good for a long time.

When you make your little jewels, make sure you store them properly. I put up all my old genetics in
fem seed form, and lost ALL of them due to improper storage.
So, take a word of advise, research seed storage and put back some of your favorites, you WILL want them one day..........

Started chopping the Green Love Potion today, after a week of finishing. I still have a quite a bit left on the plant that needs a couple of days to finish up.
It smells way different than anything I have grown before ( in a good way )
Anyway, Lil' Bud approves

As always looks really good ASV. Got a question for you are you just spraying an arm or 2 on each plant or spraying the whole plant? I've tried the cs event twice and failed both times. I took clones and spayed the whole plant and never made it to pollen production. I do have more silver wire and a generator and will try again so I'll be watching and rooting for you.
But I've made a lot of seeds with regs, and I'm a firm believer in hording as many genetics as possible.

I am spraying the tops of some clones I took. I have sprayed them since I topped them. I concentrated all my spray on the new growth. I know it has made them produce very ugly leaves and are pale in color. I have them at 4 days since flip. I sure hope in a couple of weeks, I get some pollen sacks.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
I have a houseful for a few days, which is kewl. I am finishing the Tangerine Dream. I have jarred the Green Love Potion after a 4 day hang,I wanted to hang it a bit longer, but a cold front hit and the air got drier than a popcorn fart. The next round is massing up nicely. The Sensi Star is going to be a monster ( by my grow room anyway..lol ) The Ripper Grape Gum has got the neatest smell. I can see this one going fast..lol.
I am feeding the flowering plants 1100ppm with 5.8ph at 62-65* water temp. The veggers are cruising at 7-800ppm with 5.8ph at 60-64* water temp.
I am finishing the plants with a light nute solution right at 400ppm. This is 140ppm tap upped to 190-200 with cal-mag and then about 200ppm of basic nutes. I find this keeps everything going well and no significant leaf drop or discoloration at harvest.
Here is a few shots of the progress. 1st pic - second round Tangerine Dream, 2nd pic is Tangerine Dream in finish mode), 3rd thru 7th pic - Critical Sensi Star, 8th pic - Tangerine Dream top (left) NY Purple Diesel ( right ) and last but not least, caught Lil' Bud hard at work doing some lst on the veggers.

I have not tried a bud sample, I have them doing the jar routine and using boveda packs as well. I did a few kief hits from the trimming table and it is a very different flavor profile. It is more of an spicy, earthy tone with a weird floral ( might be the lavender lineage ) backdrop, really unique compared to anything I have smoked before. I am looking forward to a nice bong rip and making some wax from the trim.
