The RW150 is basically 2x rw75s. Depending on the space you're using, having multiple rw75s might be better to allow for different height adjustments. The sgs160 is the previous years model... older tech cheaper prices.

Can anyone give me a rundown on the new Area 51 that is to be coming out? What are the improvements? Will it be COB?
Thx
New Area 51 2015 panel details.

The new panels will be roughly 6" wide x 12" long x 3" thick, and can connect on all 4 sides to make multi-shaped panels. You can connect 4 of them either making a 12" x 24" panel, or a 6" x 48" panel.

You can connect 6 of them to make a 24" x 18" panel.

You can connect 8 of them to make a 24" x 24" panel.

They will be available with 3000k, 4000k or 5000k Vero 29k v2 white driven at 2.1a per Vero (80w to the LED), or a Cree CXB 3590k (25w to the LED)

The Cree CXB version will be extremely efficient. But will be pretty costly, but if you want the absolute best efficiency imaginable, that is your lamp.

The Vero 29 v2 version we expect to sell for less than $2 per watt driven. The Cree CXB version is to be determined.

They'll be out hopefully by June, maybe during June. The only thing we're waiting on is the availability of the Vero 29 v2s, the design is complete, the metal fixture cases are being built right now and will be done in a few days, power supplies have been selected and ordered, fans have been ordered. Just waiting on the Vero v2s.

New cob units, You can physically connect the single COB fixtures into larger fixtures, as well as daisy chain them electrically.

Maybe they're more of a hybrid, Lego Logs, if you will....

I am looking for as much advice as possible on the best way to use 3 area 51 sgs-160 LED lights and 1 G8-450 -LED and 1 G8-450-LED Bloom. This will be a 1st grow all reasonable suggestions will be considered. Perhaps on 2 separate grows. The last time I posted in here I was jumped on for having the nerve to be a 1st time poster so I am taking my chances.

Can you refine your question(s), Herb?

Sell the two G8 LED's, buy a fourth SGS-160, and you could adequately cover a 4x4 area. Put 4-6 plants in there, in 5 gallon containers, and you'll have yourself one hell of a garden.

Whats Up brother Herb.To Answer Your Question Throw You Veg 450 In You Veg Tent And Put Your Flower 450 In The Middle Of You Flower Tent And Angle Your Sgs From The Side.Of Course Adding Another Sgs To Your Flower Tent Would Make It A 1000 Watt Led Grow Which Would Be Way Kewl :hump:

Those are all things I had not considered Dawgs suggestion gives me a chance to see comparisons of the lights and maybe add some bloom power. Right now I only have a 2x4 tent so I might get a second one. I do appreciate all input.

2x4 Tents?? My Suggestion Was For A 4X4 Or 5X5.However 1 450 Plus 1 Sgs On Each Side Would Be Like Comminting Murder's In Da 2x4.Lets See A 750 Watt 2x4 Tent Has A Nice Ring And Every Plant Would Be At Your Mercey. How Do I Know This I Also Have This Monster Wattage 2x4 Up In Da Dawg House.2-A-135 250 Watts(2012 Area-51) Plus A Cheap Garage Sale Aquarium 240 Watts All White Led and I Pulled Ilb Of BubbleGum Using My BubblePonics Units Running 4 Plants Per Res With A Total of 8 Plants In My Tent :weed:

Sorry I didn't make that clear on the tent size. It is 48" x 24" x 78". I actually have several other LED's. I had the intention of comparing them. But I narrowed down to the ones I mentioned for now. I do have the option on using 240 watts in place of the 450 watt lights.

And in terms of refining the original question I am at the stage of learning that anything that can be useful is welcome. I have seen grows journaled with G8 LED's and Area 51's which is how I chose those 2. But I do see that not everyone feels the same about G8 LED but opinions almost unanimous on Area 51.

I Will Not Recommend Dorm Grow's Light Not That They Don't Work Its The Missinformation On Their Website That I Don't Agree With But Its Their Site And Can Say What They Want.Area-51 Came In At A Time When These So Called Led Companies Were Making A lot Of Outragous Claims and They Were Very Transparent.Thats Why I And Alot Of Others Use And Recommend Their Lights As Well As Few Other Lights :bigjoint:

Thanks for that info. I ended up with a lot of different LED over the last year or 2. The goal was to compare them and find out for myself which ones did what.I have every intrention of doing a bit of indoor vegetable gardening so the will still get used in the future. It's all pretty new to me so I spend lots of time searching through this forum for information. Especially info on ways that A51 SGS-160's were used.

The current 2014 RW models appear to have both "warm/red" and "cool/white" LEDs. You list the new 2015 models as being available with various kelvin ratings as an "or" not an "and" -- will they be available with combinations? Can you get one with both 3000k and 5000k?
