Ambidextrous myself and was taught to fight by a left handed man
funny. I'm lefty and I was taught to fight orthodox. helped me a lot as I was growing up being that I was normally used to fighting in an unorthodox stance. I actually feel more comfortable in the orthodox stance now

Cool. My mother was left-handed and one brother and my brother that passed on year before last was very ambidextrous. He could switch back and forth with impunity. I was so jealous. He was a fantastic baseball player and could switch back and forth with throwing and catching. I used to hate playing sunflower stalk wars against him (we would whittle down the ends to a point and throw them at each other. I have so many scars from the puncture wounds). He could get you at any angle. He almost tore off my cousin's ear one time. He had to have the bottom half stitched back in place. LOL

Sunflower stalk spears! I am suddenly eleven, Paleolithic and fierce. cn
It was so fun...and painful. I always aimed for the legs. Usually everyone was wearing shorts so you didn't have to worry about clothing getting in the way of a good puncture wound. :fire:

Doesn't left handed mean sinister in latin? Myself right handed, my dad is a lefty. I usually grip the bowl with my left and light it with the right though.

i am right handed, also known as correct handed.

when i cut meat i just eat it with my left hand, though. i think it's stupid to switch hands every two seconds. i can do plenty of things just fine with my left hand. my handwriting is nearly identical with both hands. i can bat left handed, shovel left handed, pour left handed and a bunch of other crap. people claim i roll joints left handed but i don't even know what that means. i wouldn't consider myself ambidextrous, though. if i lost use of my right hand there would be a lot of adjustments to be made.

i can only snap with my left and for some reason my left hand is much better at using chopsticks.

I write with my right hand, but I shoot left in hockey and golf, and also swing left in baseball.

I do consider myself right handed, though.

I can't do shit lefty, it feels too awkward for me
Force yourself, it's great for the brain. Start by brushing your teeth or even as simple as using tour left hand when you pee. That last part feels real wierd at first. Then try practicing the alphabet in lower case.

I tried that for about a month one time, brushing my teeth lefty, even putting my pants on lefty, I read somewhere that it creates new neuron connections in your brain and you'll eventually get used to it. After a month of it, I still felt as awkward as day 1!

Don't even get me started on trying to kick a ball lefty!
