there are plenty of people i know who say its impossible NOT to find them..in fact its the backup plan to a lost day hunting morels..im suprised youre having a rough time locating any...

Morels are my springtime favorite.....I cant wait till march/april

If you live in the northwest, you will find them. Get a friend. There is something about having your vision adjusted in a field. Your friend points to one, yo get down close, you stand again, blink and the shades are drawn, where a moment ago there was nothing but an empty field there are now thousands of tiny soldiers.

It is actually a sort of rush.

Try to find some grass on a north facing hill or most likely in a field that elf or cow grazein,n near water preferably... Look for a fragile Dark brown translucentish To tan (dry) mushroom after a rain fall that has grass sticking to it ready to rip it to shreads if your not careful... And check spore print for brown or purple sppres ,honestly once you've found them you'll see how different they are then anyothers. Goodluck!

Hell yeah I bet it is. Have a few people I've been talking to about doing just that soon. For now I am happy producing my own. Will probably be starting a journal in the next day or two.
