Are my clones rooting? or molding?

If I can grow successfully once, and now I'm doing so again with 2 more plants and have 4 more veg'ing, I think I know what I'm doing. I'm trying to help people through what I have studied and applied. If you think I'm being cocky, you're mistaken.
No he's not thinking your being cocky he's saying after one successful try with a couple of plants perhaps you should be listening more rather than offering advice like you've been doing it for years, and yes excessive moisture can be very bad for clones, it rots the stems :).

I think half the trouble with people here is just confidence. If they were just confident in their ability to recognize and correct any issues, it wouldn't matter between the old grower or the young upstart who grasps the concept, at least before long.

I respect the old grower. He/she laid a foundation for the knowledge I have so I can understand it more quickly. That doesn't mean that I can't do for someone else what the old grower did for me.

I'm not saying I know everything. I'm just saying I can help with what I do know. Doctors do the same. Not every disease is confirned directly, some are diagnoses of exclusion. There will be cases when I'm wrong, and I'll acknowledge when I am.

Some people don't like that I'm using a cheaper Chinese-manufactured LED to find an LED suitable for new users looking to upgrade from something like CFL or nothing at all. It's a viable and effective option in my opinion, and I strongly believe even if Chinese standards were below US standards production-wise, I believe this brand (ViparSpectra) is actually of quality make, and that most peoples' aggressive opposition is based on bias, and I can say with confidence I'm sure they don't actually know because they haven't bought it to review it.

Your right, you can relay your experiences, nothing wrong with that but they should be stated as such. And letting people know you're new and lacking experience is always good. What actual advice did an old grower give you re cloning? Your cuttings almost died by the sound of it. Light timing is a mute point other than saving on power in my opinion. I get roots in 5-7 days typically using 24 hour lighting so I doubt they root quicker with a shorter light period or I'd have roots in 2 days lol. Sorry if I'm being harsh but there are way to many one grow wonders here :). Again nothing wrong with spreading experiences just don't pass it off as experience, two different things IMO.

I disagree. I have experience and can grow. I can demonstrate my ability appropriately. My advice is based off of what I can understand from experience and from reading information from old growers. And, like I said, in my recent experience with cloning, it went from not showing roots after 2 weeks to pushing roots fast in two days with less lighting. I didn't say that I believe that it definitively proves less light causes faster rooting. We'd need a side by side comparison.

There is no dofference between experiences and experience. Experiences are the instances in which you gain experience, or an experienced understanding. That's why it's called an experience when you haven't pluralized it. Mine, I approach objectively and deductively. You sound kind of silly, man.

How do you think a Joe becomes an NCO? Balls. Same technical knowledge. Actually tactically experienced because of immersion. More balls. I believe I've immersed myself, and have an open mind to shit that may be subject to change regarding the knowledge I have at the moment, and I definitely have the balls try it all out so that I know for sure.

I see where all this horse shit started from. Let me go back:

Don't saturate your leaves because too much moisture is bad. Don't oversaturate your soil. I'm not telling you to water daily, I was only expressing my surprise at a recent experience. Except it had been 2 weeks or so since I cloned them.

What ever, you just keep doing what your doing :). I guess at the end of the day it's for the reader to decide if your suggestions are valid based on your experience/experiences or lack of .....

It started when you started posting suggestions after one attempt. Again another one grow wonder lol.

I didn't suggest anything other than not to let a clone dry out. I didn't say "saturate it while you're at it."

My exact words were "Clones don't mind being wet." Do you disagree? And I mean wet as opposed to dry.

Yes I disagree with what you said given the picture op showed. That's why all this lol. They are soaking wet :( but you I'm sure saw that and validated the excess by saying what you said ....., anyways sorry if I hurt your feelings, I get a bit cranky sometimes. Carry on :)

Definitely not feeling hurt. All I meant was give it time.

His issue isn't even with water, it was the rooting gel being up too high, causing roots to form higher simply because he didn't seal the stalk in place or because he legitimately applied it too high. What are you even talking about?

His issue wasn't about it being wet your right but it will be if he has water sitting in the tray all the time.... Trust me lol.

I didn't say to keep water in the tray all the time, did I? I use medium made from coco, sphagnum, yucca, EWC, and perlite. I have to water mine the way I do. The clone still has to stay humid and drinking.
