I'm seeing more and more people use these LEDs and I'm starting to wonder if they are as good as people make them up to be... what size LED Would I need to compensate for a 600hps? anyone actually used em and how does your yield compare between the 2 and also quality of fruits produced...

LED's are getting cheaper and are very efficient while needing lower amounts of cooling. If you do want to go this way look into making your own. You get maximum wattage for the lowest price and you can build them to suit your grow space. Lot's of info on the subject in the LED lighting section on here

I'm in the industry of LED light and power supply, LED light has higher lumen efficiency and RA value, which can replace the HPS light.
Our 180W Gorgeous LED high bay light can replace the 600hps, if you need any help, please let me know.
If anyone need help for LED light, please contact me, I'm glad to help!

Great! A new shill for the LED market.

Unless it's Cobb's and well cooled. I wouldn't bother....I look at all the wonder claims of your industry and laugh for the most part.
My favorite is the several grand + price tag's on unit's that claim UV spectrum benefits...... You look close at the nanometer bands and it's clear that the supplied "UV" is not in the range to really help what you want it to do = NO uvB !

How about we mention that all those "blurple" units work ok but, in bloom, they are not delivering what HID, DE HID, Plasma or CMH can deliver!

The 180w l.e.d. Replacing a 600w hps..and yes the two landos are in flower, and looking fantastic I'll post some pics later in the Bohdi forum.
I just replaced my 400 with 180watts of led
250-300 of led would replace that 600 tho.
I've got two lady landos going now too.

Thanks
It was fun to build and even moreso to drive.
Oh, oh, oh...CAR talk!

Just picked up a 02 Audi TT 180hp turbo quatro. (I know, I was looking for a 225hp turbo one). 3K for it.

GREAT shape with 140K miles. Tight as a drum too. Just something to have some fun with this summer and give to one of the boys as college starts back up, as his car is starting to suffer badly...

I've enjoyed it so much these last cpl of days. Fun to drive car that just wants to "go".,,,,I might have to get him something else..maybe a Passat, easy to find cheap now a days...

Honestly as a vw nutjob avoid the Passat.
If u insist on a sedan get a Jetta preferably without the 2.5.
Go a few years older if you must but Passat is German for service vehicle often I think lol

One of my friends still has a 98 vr6 Jetta as his daily driver.
Junkyards everywhere are full of them so parts and modding is almost free if your willing to do some work.
Lots of fun can be had by the whole family lol
If you really want to get a rush try to find and test drive an r32 golf
Ridiculous car

So

Would you reccomend a 250-300 led overa 600 hps then or say there on the same level
Depends on what kind of led
Cob or qb can be built for comparable money up front but huge savings monthly
But it's heat management that I think puts led over the top.
I'll never fire up another big bulb in my life
