Are Indica and Sativa strains any different in effect when made into butter?

I think extracting into butter and coconut oil heats the THC up so much and for so long that it turns into CBN which is why it knocks you out. A better method would be to do the extraction first into say hash, dry and crumble the hash well and then add it to say a cookie recipe that you can bake at 280F for 20 minutes and let the cooking time provide the decarboxylation/activation, then you should get a THC high instead of a CBN nap. :-)

I make butter all of the time & then make cookies or brownies with it. It's definitely a different buzz & with the stuff I grow if I make 9x13 pan of brownies & cut them into 12 pieces it really fucks me up. So I cut them in 1/2 then I'm fine. I don't really see a difference between sativa or indica when made into butter but I do know between 1 1//2- 2 hours later I've got a hell of a buzz!!! Lol
