I have only ever used regular seeds.
Just crossed my mind. Im quite intrigued by autos
yes u can breed fem autos with regs pollen.some of the off spring will be autos, some will be full photos, the rest will be a mix that's what I look for I like crossing haze male pollen with fem autos theres gems to be found

You can't keep cutting from autos they stall out for a week or two but there's no way of stopping them from flowering.

autos are easy to stabilize, most of the work has been done already.

The strain I had reg seeds of, only 3 out of 8 made it. I got a small male and female and one photo period mutant. Figured I could breed the male and I have more stable auto line. I took my male and knocked up a different auto I had, she was covered in spider mites and I wanted to start her over; this was the window of opportunity that had me make seeds. I'm growing these seeds now, here's my female.

I dont want only females. I dont think you guys are understang my question.
I want males and females, period.
Is it achievable with autos?
Fem seed are the shittest thing to do imho. If i want all females ill take some cuts off a mother. I love breeding. And to me seeding a crop and waiting to see how your reggie seeds turned out the next time you grow, can be one of the best things in the world. Its totally your own.
So back to the question at hand. Can you get male and female autoflowers to cross your own? And will the offspring be fertile?
Again, not interested in feminised seeds in the slightest.
Yes , male autos can happen time to time.
Breeders will list " regular " autos and fem autos .
They are listed as " untested " sometimes on pack.

DC SEED EXCHANGE

They have great strains and their freebies game is epic.
I ordered from these guys 6 times already - ALWAYS got more than I ordered.

Notice the " Untested " Purple Snow / bubba / GG4 ( triple cross )
Everything in that zip is the freebie stuff !

I love the looks, and sound of "Green Work Collective". I really like their reasons for breeding.
Maybe "Farmhouse Genetics" aswell.
Cheers guys :bigjoint:

Avoid flash and short stuff, I've had a bad time with their reg beans not going into flower or poor germ rates. Now I have red libanon from flash growing and the seedlings are laying down; perfectly healthy plants but I can't get them to stand up straight.

100% false. Where the fuck do you people get your info from. :wall:
If you think stabilising a strain doesn't happen over many selections based on the traits you wish to stabilise and if you think feminised seeds are as rich genetically as regular seeds, please explain it to us instead of saying that something is stupid.

Cheers,

@HighLowGrow thread .... Look at it .

FEMMY seeding is hella easy with autos. You can CS/STS an autos lower branch , grow some lady nuts - harvest the pods OR " self " the bitch and get more auto seeds than you need.

To me it's easier than keeping a mother - I can save a favorable structured auto ( diffent phenos can express , even from same stock ) - some lanky , some stout. From there you can SAVE it with a simple treat. And work with multiple strains without sacrificing space for " mother plant ".

Here is GSG auto seeds :

Sprayed one plant ( 2 branches ) ... FEMMY pods grew ... Harvested branches , placed in glass of water , over a mirror . Pods open and dump. Business card scrape the pollen
( like Kief ) and use a thin paint brush to pollinate 2 branches on other plant.

Come harvest time for main buds -
Check the lowers and you also get seeds . Sometimes I leave the SEEDED branches behind to fully finish them.

Some do different , but I do one of two ways :

Autos - when plant begins to sex , pick a lower branch or two , tag them , and spray once or twice a day . I target leaf and stem.

It can take from 10-20 days to get some balls to form , then I stop and let pods form.

Photos : I veg til ready to flip ( based on how big a plant I want ) , 12/12 cycle , I wait about 5 days in ( plant is going thru hormonal changes - transition ) then do as above.
Some strains will throw balls quick , some longer and some never.

Remember to contain spray to the leaves / sites you are spraying as not to contaminate the other flower sites.

You can grow out the clusters until they look like they will split ... Carefully cut of branch , place in a glass of water to keep its stem hydrated and park it over a piece of glass , mirror to catch any pollen which will open. I also tweezer ( carefully ) the pods off the plant branch , dry them out , and scrape them across a 150 mesh strainer ( I use a classifier that is used in gold prospecting ) and it allows the pollen to fall thru to mirror or plate.
