Listen to Homebrewer.... hes the resident Dynagro expert here. He wont steer you wrong. Foliage pro and protekt. Get a pH and EC (ppm) meter and keep it calibrated and learn how to use it. 2 jugs bro. Gallon of Foliage pro and a quart of Protekt. With Protext....
One or two milliliters per gallon before adding a teaspoon or less of Foliage Pro depending on the stage of plant development and pH down this to about 5.8 - 6.2 before watering/feeding your plants. Start with this brand. Stick to it. Eventually your going to get the urge to try the pricey snake oil high additive brands. Go ahead...but you will go back to simple...i guarantee it. But starting off simple and going full circle is WAY better than starting with some goofy mad scientist brand with a shit load of bottles and going that whole route. I admit. ...its the way i started and it was a big waste of cash. Alot of growers did it this way and speak from experience. Generally...listening to the pro veterans...not just nutrients....but all the aspects of growing indoors will save you alot of cash. Because we have been there...done that. Good luck.

Thank you. I definitely do not doubt that you guys know what you're talking about. But I like to question things a bit, if you don't mind. Cost isn't an issue since I'm already saving over $500 just by switching from AN to DG due to the cocktails i was planning on putting together with the AN line-up.

That being said, why is the Foliage Pro and Protekt combo better than the combo I mentioned? ((Grow, KLN, and ProTekt from the clones...drop KLN after the first week or two then just Grow and Protekt to finish veg phase at which point ill drop Grow and use Bloom, Protekt, and Mag all the way up to flush))

Besides the simplicity and the fact that its cheaper and more straight forward, is using just Foliage Pro+Protekt more beneficial? How so?

P.S. When i mentioned drip to waste or flood and drain, the flood and drain would be a recirc. Not sure if that matters or if you already assumed as much.

Pot plants are heavy nitrogen and potassium feeders, not so much on phosphorus even in flower. Foliage pro and Pro-Tekt give the plants more of what it needs in that regard (high nitrogen and potassium, low phosphorus) where as Grow has higher phosphorus compared to N and K.

I've never used KLN but have heard good things from others about it.

If your using coco coir...i suggest running a drip to waste. Many a fine recirc flpod.and drains with coco out there but ideally top feed down with about 20% runoff and get rid of that waste water. Its full of salts...and is unbalanced. Save the recirc hydroponic systems for hydroton and later on when you get more experience.

Oh btw...advanced nutes are just fine. Overpriced yeah....like the rest. Why growers get so caught up in nutrient brands these days is beyond me. Ive tried them all....and if you know what the hell your doing and how to use them...there all the frikin same pretty much.
And some are 128th of the price.
In soil I like Jack's Classic and Blossom Booster, plus a touch of MgSO4.
It costs me about $1 per square meter per cycle in nutrients.

It's not the price but the finished product. Cogo's has a 2 part product that is good for bloom and veg. How many companies can say that

As cannabis edges closer and closer to full federal legalization...and like indoor growers..your going to see all these "nutrient companys" fall by the wayside. The whole indoor hobby hydroponics industry really. Whose going to buy pricey nutes and lamps and fans and tables and pumps and whatever when pounds of really good greenhouse smoke is less than 300$ a pound? Much less turn on an expensive in electricity grow light? Not many. The big time greenhouse growers can grow top shelf (artisan quality....lmfao) just as well as you can. Dont kid yourself. Its all moving to outdoors and greenhouses. ..you can bank on that. And you might grow a couple of trees in your backyard for. personal but thats about it.

Dutch Pro...Dynagro...General Hydro Flora...And Hudrofarm (they made a dry salt fertilizer back in 1978 when they were known as Applied Hydroponics and their flagship system was actually called a Hydrofarm...my uncle had one and it was cheesy but all there was)

Im finding that this is what a lot of people are saying also. And i do agree green house is king even right now. My only question is are the big corps that are going to be growing all this bud for legal cannabis, can we go in there and ask for a 10 pack or a 5 pack? And for 300 bucks? High times online had an article claiming prices are down bla bla bla bla. Where are they getting this info? This medical market is the best its been in 3 years. Im just totally lost on this subject. Everybody is saying the same thing, indoor is on its way out. But the market is not showing that. Its increasing i believe.

What your not understanding is federal legqlization is just around the corner. Believe that. I cant predict the future of when....but its coming....quickly. Until then....everything is up and down. And you can call whatever you see rite now as you see it. I have no trouble dumping bids onto patients (wink wink ). Its a little competitive....but not.that bad. You got to base the future on whats coming. I give it 2 more full 4 year presidential terms and thats it. There will he a transition period...some could say thays happening now to some extant....then its lights out for you and me and 90% of all the other growers. It wont be sudden....but it will be alot faster than u think.
