4x8 flood tray with about 4 inches of Expanded Shale over a 225 Gallon stock tank.. flood and drain.. flood 5-6 x's per day..

A variety of tomato, cucumber, peppers, spinach, lettuce..

35 Yellow Perch, caught with a throw net from a private pond

That's the deal,, I have 3 other systems as well that kick out produce like a raised bed just can't do.. This system is new,, the first grow from it. It takes a few months before things really get rocking..

The fish have been in the tank for about 5 wks now, so, they are starting to really feed.. Things will start moving pretty soon here.. I expect loads of tomato and eventually cucumber.

I am dumping in a gallon of compost tea every 10 days or so to get bacteria rolling and feed the plants a little before the fish poop starts really breaking down and feeding the plants.

Once these systems get going they really really grow some nice plants. But, it takes a little time,, almost there..

BTW, the stock tank is hidden behind that metal stock tank that is flipped upside down. I pulled that stock tank over to cover the stock tank full of perch, to keep the sun from heating it up,,

I also buried the stock tank/IBC tote about half way into the ground,, keeps it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
