Apologies and convictions

I was listening to Trudeau apologizing to the LGBTQ community today for the way they were treated historically and that their criminal convictions while same-sex relationships were illegal will be destroyed. How is their plight any different to the persecution of cannabis users? I expect and will demand a similar public apology and having all cannabis related convictions thrown out.

Lol not what I meant but I wouldn't say no. I was referring to the 145m he said would be split up to pay all the victims

Nice post. I watched this on the evening news and wondered the same thing. I think somehow the general population feels bad about this, but no so much for the persecution of potheads (<=the way they see it).

Suffice to say, I am not going to hold my breath.

Would be nice to see all cannabis related convictions thrown out, but I could care less about an apology tbh.

The funny rhing is that his own father, when asked about an apology to first nations peoples said he wouldnt because you open Pandora's box as to who is deserving of an apology. Then everyone would want one. He said its the govt position to govern the people, not apologize for mistakes made by other previous cabinets.

Not a fan of the guy but he had a point. Now look what Justin hugs and poems will reintegrate ISIS members Trudeau has done. Not saying wrongs werent committed. But where is the line going to be drawn when everyone can find a reason for being marginalized in this day and age. All on the tax payers dime of course

ya right.. apology....we will be lucky to escape this legalization scheme with going to jail....
