anyone using under current (rdwc) and canna?

Just switched to canna aqua flores in my undercurrent systems and have 0 ppm uv filtered RO water.

Wondering how much calimagic you are using per gallon and what ppm (500 scale) you top out at.

If not using canna still interested in calmag numbers and ppm that you top out at

Thanks guys!

Currently I'm starting with 300 ppm calimagic (4ml per gallon)

Just torn because current culture says use low ppm but canna/gh say their recommendations are too low... Canna is telling me 1100ppm top out, gh is confirming that decision but current culture says more like 650 ppm max... But I honestly think that's because cultured solutions nutrients aren't as 'clean' .... So what are you guys doing?

from what I've seen it really is strain dependent. For Indies i run 5 ml gal. for sativas i run 7-10ml/gal. just depends

I have blue lab truncheon and the lowest measure is .2 EC, so my tap water is .2 or less. I start clones...big well rooted...at half strength. .6 - .8 EC, ph 5.5

Once the PH drifts to 6.3, I change out. The next batch is usually full strength.

I should add, Im using a top off res with straight water just ph corrected. So my EC starts high then goes down as the mix gets diluted from the top off and what is consumed by the plants.

Dont worry what Canna says is the upper limit. I've gone over 2.0 EC before. Big plants are hungry.

Nice I'm doing the same, topoff ro on a float.

What is the ppm(ec) you start in flower and what's the peak you hit in flowering? Sorry to be a bother just want to make sure I her dialed in.

Thanks!

Haha you answered that as I was asking, cool... What is the ec you normally have it at in flower?

The current culture guys had me stuck on this low ppm feeding and I think I was starving my girls!

Right now everything is around the 1-1.5 ec in flower... Obviously I'm going to see how much they eat in the morning to make sure I'm not over doing it

Except the first and last batch, I'm usually full strength. So say at week 6 for 8 week strain, I will start reducing EC..depends on what the plants are saying though.

Just to be sure you guys think the ppm called for in this chart is legit...

Or is 1100 possibly a bit too much?

@redi jedi not trying to be a pain but does the ppm in that chart look about right?

After talking to a guy that sella canna I think im experiencing deficiencies late in flower from under feeding.... Potassium specifically

I'm bumping all my tanks up top around 1000 ppm (2 ec) and I guess I'll know in the morning if they are eating or not...

Just trying to get a second opinion.... Like where is your flower ec on average before you lower it?

I'd say that chart is in the ballpark, but thats for light feeding and using additives.

My average EC is 1.4 - 1.6.

If I use pk13/14 1.8 - 2.0 That would be week 5 or 6 only though.

My buddy runs canna in an RDWC and his ppms are super low. He had his ppms around 11-1200 and had crappy results and gave up on it. His ppms dropped to around 6-650 and his green cracks exploded giving a monster yield. However, IT IS MORE STRAIN DEPENDANT than anything else.

Yeah I'm finding in my system, 800 and under the plant eats, eats more at 700 (ppm drops quicker)

Still trying to figure out how much calmag I should be using with these nutrients. Currently I'm using 200 ppm calimagic of the total 800 ppm nutrients. I'm thinking this may be too much calmag though....

Anyone using 0 ppm RO water with ppms around 800 and lower for their nutrients? Would love to know how many ppm you are adding for calmag...

Thanks!

Still looking for calming input. I'm now using magical with 0 ppm ro water. I'm using 4ml per gallon bringing me at 160ppm on 500 scale.

What do you guys think?

Ive read your other post and your only issue you had was calmag and phosphorous was out of wack.Always hits the leaves right under the lights,Ive had to go up as high as 7ML per gallon of calmag but always keep your part B higher than A in flower and never go to high on base nutrients,They really need to seperate the calcium from the magnesium because its ALWAYS a calcium problem in these systems. The ratio of calcium to MAG is way off.All that mag can lock out other nutrients also,I run anywhere from 600 to 1000 depending on strain,You was on the right track but only missed a couple things,You upped the calmag but put TOO much other nutes in.
