Anyone try high cbd strains for anxiety relief?

I have anxiety and when I smoke thc strains like sour diesel, I have panic attacks and there is nothing I can do to change that its just my body's natural response to high thc I guess. When I heard about cbd and strains containing lots of it I got excited about getting back into the herb again. Its been about 2 years since I've last ingested cannabis but I'm going to be getting my card soon. Has anyone with social anxiety or nervousness tried a CBD strain and actually benefit from it?

Someone recommended Poison OG to me when I was having a little trouble with paranoia. I was surprised to see it advertised as having ten percent CBD. Anyway, it is one of my faves when it comes to just chilling out. I've grown two high CBD strains, Harlequin and Cannatonic. Neither one of them gives me a big buzz currently, but maybe my tolerance is high nowadays. If I smoke either strain it seems to mellow me out somewhat, kind of like tobacco is SUPPOSED to do but never really did for me. Wouldn't hurt for you to try one of the CBD strains.

I've used AC/DC for a good daily medication. Works well for anxiety and definitely does not leave you high. Usually you can find it around >10% cbd and less than 1% thc. Great stuff. Harlequin is good too but sometimes that does leave me a little high feeling, others don't. Bottom line, AC/DC is my goto CBD strain. Good luck in the search!

I've had several bud tenders tell me to stay away from Sativa dominant strains if anxiety, paranoia, and tachycardia are an issue (for my son).

So a predominantly Indica, CBD dominant strain might be a good option for you. Try finding something by CBD Crew. Or @provisionseeds has a couple higher CBD options as well. Good luck.

Yes! I have bad panic attacks and high THC strains make things worse but I've been using a high cbd flower from TJs organic gardens 1%thc 17%cbd alone during the day and mixed with a small amount of a heavy indica at night and it's helped greatly. I currently mix 4 parts cbd flower to 1 part 16-20% thc indica before bed.
