Yea it'll do the job. You can dim it down for seedlings and vegging.
I'd 4 x cree cxb 3590 on that driver, used for flowering, worked great.
Citizen 1212s are good too. I've used them too. I think they're about a tenner each now.

Do you think 2 of them will be good enough for 2x2x4 or 1.5x1.5x4? I am trying build a mini veg cabinet or should i just go with mars hydro 600. It seems they will come up to about same price.

I did method 2: The hard way

But imo it was the easiest by far. I don’t think I could’ve done it any simpler

I just pasted my cobs onto Arctic 11 coolers, not sure why buddy needed to drill. I then got some angle pieces of aluminum from home depot drilled a few holes and riveted it all together. The hardest part was just getting all the wires looking somewhat neat. I didn’t put all of them onto a frame either, some are just running on single drivers hung up by a coat hanger. Paste Cob, wire, done. Not sure what all this other stuff was. Wagos, clip in things for cobs, drilling heatsinks, no thanks.

Mars 600 then as it's plug n play. 100 watts, is it dimmable? It would need to be hung at least 2ft away if not.
The cobs, 1/sq ft, so 4 needed for best coverage but 2 cobs would be ok for vegging.
You'll not need too much wattage for seedlings to veg.
Have you thought about strip leds?

I am interested in any diy method. I am trying to light a 1.5x1.5 space for under $60 to practice training plants and seedling. I have tent already with 150W QB to grow my main crop.
